For those in the comments section who are ribbing & ridiculing Kane & Pia for spending AUD$185,000 on an electric vehicle - look at it this way, if the car is used for 3 years (early June 2019 - end June 2022) and over those three years Kane & Pia earn a combined income of let's say AUD$6,167,000 (after tax, cash) that's only a percentage of 3% that they have spent on their vehicle ($185,000 / $6,167,000 = 3%). Usually the average Australian spends about 2.5% to 7.5% of their income to purchase a brand new vehicle that they use for about 4 years (eg: they sell it 6 to 9 months before the 5 year new car warranty expires)
For those playing at home, in Australia a brand new 2018 Tesla Model X 100D Auto AWD cost about AUD$185,000 (driveaway) which is about USD$128,125 or GB£100,980 and Tesla prices are as listed and they don't allow haggling (negotiating) on the price

I've lived in Melbourne for three months now and am shocked by the lack of electric cars in Australia. In my home town of Vancouver they are everywhere. Gas/petrol there got up to 1.90 recently though...
