Hello Hamster! Um, your comment gave me pause. So I wanted, in a way, to thank you. 🙃 Can you be precise? If you wouldn’t mind but don’t want to go any further publicly, you could go to the description and you can write a private message there, explaining what was painful and why you feel I am profoundly disturbed. That message will be forwarded right to me. Of course we needn’t belabor, but if you can turn your criticism into constructive, it could be valuable to learn to see myself as a stranger does. Normally I hear only from those who approve and are of a kindred spirit, but what about the millions of those who have formed a quick opinion but didn’t write, as you did. I will want to improve if there IS any meat in the message. Perhaps folks whom are dismayed by my nature, … with constructive criticism it might be helpful rather than hurtful, and I can learn to communicate more broadly, which might meet new people in a way that blesses rather than pains them. I could see the point and my videos since have been less playful and more informational, where ever possible. I am still grateful for that comment. I think the person is a regular watcher now and I hope they feel I am ever trying to meet the need. Thanks, Mr. Hamster. Sincerely, Victoria

This is not a philosophy, nor a “point” I am making. It is NOT an act. It is simply my trying to look at my ordinary approach in thought and how it might come out in deed, -just to try to do a self-critique in order to try to understand why I might come off as “disturbed” and “painful” till we might be accepting of each other. I do not judge you, Hamster. I do not know you, but I do respect you. Though there are all kinds of expression, my manner might be a little out of spectrum. I don’t see it that way, at all, personally. But I know it isn’t that way when we get to know each other. And, remember …TH-cam IS Unnatural! 😃. It is, by nature, NOT actually Reality. So some extremities of character might come into play, more poignantly -especially in the amateur of our understanding how to communicate in such a format. Well, Hamster, I have talked your fuzzy little ears off. Now your judgement is your own again. You may or may not end up where you started. I hope we have found a way … and remember, YOU started it! 😬… And I am still grateful to you. I hope there is some mutual trust, also on your part but you know, sometimes our thoughts will seem, not quite aligned. I believe, eventually we are all of one mind with our myriad and glorious individual ways, but of the same source. And we can be patient for this to show itself to us, I think. Ahoy, Victoria
Seems as though this “Hamster” person has a bogus account on You Tube- probably set up especially to make this comment on your video. (Gee, I wonder who it could be?). You are a better person than I, for sure, but I wouldn’t have even responded. I enjoy every single word you say and every laugh and chuckle you give me while watching your channel. It makes life a little easier every time I do.
The people that stole your company may be watching this video to continue to steal your ideas and create more products. But, you are original!! They can’t steal that from you. You have been wonderfully made.
My husband and I renovated a house built in 1749. I know the work involved. Your homes past and present, are such a delightful expression of your personality, and Richard's.
Showing your former home to us is not boring and you don't take too much time! I love your youtube site and all of the things you share. I think you are a wonderful person and I love your enthusiasm for all things, and your kind heart. So glad I found your channel,I love you and Richard, keep up the good work.
Victoria vous n’avez aucunement besoin de vous justifier nous vous aimons telle que vous êtes j’apprécie infiniment votre travail et votre style vestimentaire tout me plaît continuez de nous faire rêver ❤❤❤
Victoria- Perhaps the most meaningful and enlightening words I have heard in such a very, very long time " ...we were out floating around the world trying to find home ...and we did. We found it everywhere we were...." It brought me a tear. My best- Uncle Robert
You found home every where you were - and finding beauty and joy everywhere you went! What a beautiful heart you have. I love love love listening to your stories and thoroughly loved seeing your moms painting and you and Richard’s handiwork.
I just giggled when you told the story about the cow and your mom. I love the room and especially the way you have pointed out every detail. What a beautiful treasure .
It's Gwenda!! I absolutely love all of your stories and explanations!! You are adorable!! I need some of your thinness!! A Precious Lady ! That's you! Much love and prayers for your best!
You and Richard are amazing artist and so is your mother! This house should be worth millions ! Very smart of the new owners to keep it as is! Should be a museum piece! Hope they never destroy it! Such beauty! Thank you for sharing with us your amazing talent and memories. Love you!
I have been watching each of these beautiful stories over and over of your family and you and Richard. I don't want to miss anything. What an artist your mom! Beautiful walls of amazing color and a story in each wall. Do you remember your absolute first piece of anything that you did? The lamps are amazing. I am 75 years old and just getting to see a book or calendar is just thrilling. Did you live in Southern California? Southern California is where I live. I lived in the South as a child, so I miss the seasons. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us your home where you lived. I will never forget this.
Thank you for showing us this beautiful house. It must be bitter sweet to tour the house that bears so much of your incredible talent and vision. How do you stay so positive and loving? How I admire you!
I love all your stories. Your moms painting is awesome. What treasures to be cherished. It’s a good thing that everyone should know all the things you show and all your stories. You and Richard are so special and should be known and shown to the world as every bit as important as any other accomplished intelligent and revered people. I’m talking DaVinci. Michelangelo. And millions more. Yes you should be among those honored for your creations and accomplishments. Someone should write your long story and include tons of pictures and make it a huge coffee table book to be displayed. Love you guys♥️
I know you were questioning why so many viewers don't leave a comment. Well, it could be that they read everyone else's comments and just feel it has all been said like I do. Of course, I am talking about all the sweet comments everyone leaves. I really enjoyed this little tour. The murals are just breathtaking. You have a lovely spirit. Be well and be happy.
The cow was just wonderful! And whi needs wallpaper when you can make art of your walls?! Everyone should be so lucky! And oh those lamps! All so fabulous!!! Love you!❤
It is still with us in our reminiscences. I hear tell it is for sale. I’m sure the right next steward is awaiting to care. The first folks to take it on, were a godsend, until their needs changed and they are moving on
LOVE your stories and insights to so much!!!! I want to go go back and watch them all so I can remember them!! Thank you SOOOO much for sharing your stories!!!!
Thank you Jennifer. I’m so happy that you can also share the light we are all seeing and sharing together. We shall help to build up our nation and our precious friends round the world how yo ward off the false and hold to the True! It is such a worthwhile mission!
Thanks, Amy. I know it is not to you, but could it be that it is boring to others and that might be why they don’t come and don’t watch the entire videos? I’m trying to listen to their quietude. There must be many folks of all shapes whom would love the spirit. But something is keeping them form it. All the comments are so wonderful. But many don’t write comments. They are kindly not saying something, perhaps. Ahoy, Victoria
Victoria, you and Richard are the perfect example of the peace and contentment we all can have, if we put our trust in God. How many couples have we heard of who want for no material thing, but cannot live together. And how many cases have we heard about where a loss is incurred and the partnership doesn’t survive💔. And Heather… what a foundation she has been given to build her life upon ! God must be looking down at you today and saying, “ Well done, good and faithful servants ! “.
You created a beautiful home there and now you are still there in your creations for someone else to experience. That's so lovely. Now you're creating another beautiful space. If you hadn't moved to where you are now, just think of how cold and dreary it would have been. Now you're breathing a new life into Yankee. I never tore watching you and absolutely loved hearing the story of how your previous home came to be what it is.❤
I appreciate and feel very privileged that you have shared this most intimate archives of your family, with your Mother’s vision which she captured so beautifully. I feel like I’m visiting a naïf museum. Thank You for sharing this special tour of your private life.
Victoria, Such precious memories! Your face lights up when you talk about your Mom. She did an amazing job painting. Each video is so rich in teaching and wisdom from your lifes journey. Please continue teaching and showing your home and furniture, ect..Labor of love.
HI Victoria - thank you so much for your stories and adventures!!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us! So amazing how much love and art you infused in every nook of that home! May you have a very blessed and prosperous new year and good health to you and Richard. all my love and God bless!!!
I was so excited to see how you painted the outside inside. I did something very similar. We turned our basement into a game room to resemble an old english library with coffered ceilings and book shelves on the walls. We made the door a hidden door through the bookcase. The windows were typical short horizontal basement windows so we painted them with paint that let the light through and painted the look of a larger window onto the wall below to match the beautiful scenery outside the window. We added floor length rusty burgundy brocade like drapes and I still love them today. It looks like you're looking out at the countryside!
Happy New Year to you & Richard!❤🌼🎆 You look absolutely stunning in this video! What a charming story you shared with us. Your art, fashion & designs are so amazing. Everything painstaking made, such creative attention to detail. You stay so positive & upbeat. That is inspiring, knowing how you had to give up so much of your lives and treasures due to others greed. Thank you for sharing these fabulous details. Which live on!! Xo
I love picket fences. They so compliment the cottage style. The painted cows and all your family painted on the walls of your home is pretty special and it's amazing to me that they haven't been painted over by the new owners. Happy New Year!
The cow painting is so funny and that’s what makes it unique. Let’s see how the people that stole your company will integrate that into their products (copycats).
I’m trying hard to keep going, Amy. I know it is the right thing to do to help and share and love our precious world. But I do need all of you to help me to increase subscribership and to broaden the reach by sharing. Can you work at that, Amy? I know it is God’s gift to us all, but we must let it shine as transparent and hearty and thinking of others other than our own happiness. Thank you so very much, dear one.
Beautiful! I visited a transformed ferry on January 1st in Tacoma. It has been a home for 30 years and now will be going on the market. The owners want to look after the parents on land. Change can be hard.
Oh, Lily, thank you for telling me of it. Are there photos? It would be interesting to me to see it. Maybe there is a website? Thanks so much. This is just what I love about our sharing … when I get to have a wee peek out into the world when all I do is work, it is as if the world comes to ME! It makes me so happy and so richly ebdowed! .

I feel a little melancholy after this video. It would be so difficult for me to have given up the walls that hold such dear memories of my life and family. ❤️ But I am reminded: ISAIAH 43:19. Behold! I will do a new thing! 💫🕊💫
Hello Victoria, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you’re inspirational. Both you and Richard are so creative, it’s beyond belief. Now here’s a question that you may have answered before and I might have missed but it’s this, how did you come to live on Yankee and do you stay on it all year long?
I'm so fascinated by all the details and stories that those walls your mother painted tell. Is there a treatment that can be applied to the walls to make sure they last forever? I would like to see this house become a museum one day :o}
Hello Anastasia! Oh, my mum would be so grateful for you appreciation of her hard work. Thank you. And, what a good idea about preservation. I shall mention it to the owners. Thank you for your thoughtful comment!
Your mom is talented, she is a wonderful artist. Her mural paintings on all the walls in that room is amazing. It tells the story in her paintings so beautifully. I like how she made that cow connect on the next wall! What a great imagination she has to see it that way. Also I like your story about the Christmas dinner that almost wasn't! But Richard came through with a great Lobster, black mussels and one of my favorites artichokes! Christmas dinner! The next time you have artichokes, try stuffing them! My mother would stuff them with just some chopped garlic, fresh Italian leaf parsley, some grated Pecorino Romano cheese, olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. But before you stuff them, you need to trim all the artichoke leave at the tips and cut the long stem off the bottom.... Wash the artichokes, and clear out the middle part of the artichoke of those hard leaves and fuzzy stuff near the heart of the artichoke. Put them in a large deep pot with cold water, salt, and olive oil and boil them until the leaves around the center are loose enough to pull out. That's when you know they are done. So delish, I love to eat them, they are the best! Sometimes I will stuff them with breadcrumbs with the same ingredients, because that's how my husband likes his made. Both ways are delish, you can't go wrong with an artichoke. Victoria and Richard I wish you both a great Happy New Year 2022. Stay well, take care, God bless!
Oh you grabbed me with your assessment: "Elegant Solutions to Life!" I've been considering titles for the book that I writing and considering using that phrase, with your permission. Don't ya just love being our age? Life has given us so many presidium stories from our lives to share with humor and laughter. There have been so many events that have been laced with tragedy but as time passes the ridiculousness of those events makes me laugh. We got though it and on the other side of it, we remain joyous with the help of our precious Savior.
Yes, and I find it has nothing to do with a belief of age, for with that people pin all kinds of damaging theories . So the ageless ness of your point is to find the lesson and the blessing in everything one does and thinks, no matter the human age. We shall always be blessed with humor, and vision, above & beyond beyond what the material senses try to tell us. To have this kind of insight is a blessing from eternity and brings liberation, ebullience, and peace to every moment, called time to mortal sense, but simply being” Thank you sooo much for bringing this up! It is a paramount fact to hold to all the days, every instance, with gratitude as our ever source of inspiration and liberation!
I think you should simply delete unhelpful and unsupportive comments. Some people get a real charge out of confronting ppl they don’t know, online, and straight up being mean. There’s no place for that on your sites
Dear YesHua, I didn’t have the money to buy a mic for most of the videos I have made. This series of discovering the origins of MacKenzie-Childs at home and my visit to Home Again, as our daughter named it then, were pre-mic. Now, most of the time I have a mic on. I hope it only gets better for you, dear friend. I find that wearing head phones makes every voice so much better to hear and understand. You might like to have esr phones. They are certsinkycwonderfu … also so nice to listen privately whilst in a vehicle or walking outside! Much love and appreciation for your efforts. Hello, Speckled hen! Thank you for your apt reply to the comment above. It was kind but perhaps opened up thought to all the wonderful ways we each are! It’s funny, not example was given, to make the comment viable or befitting … just a comment out of nowhere. Your used her cliché (sort of a grammar school sounding criticism) to turn her round and to look in a mirror. Your wit sharply showed the ridiculousness of an off cuff, baseless comment, which was not at all in keeping within the spirit which is suggested for TH-cam comments. Are you a smart mother, or a smart lawyer? You are terrific! There have been very few out-of- line comments on my TH-cam. I’m sure there is the gamut of opinions out in the world, but I think most that find this channel not what they are looking for, just move on. It’s odd that less then a handful have stayed in and then made a comment which has no clear context. Just something flung out there without constructive evidence & no seeming purpose … no useful meaning. Again, thank you! Ahoy, Victoria
PS You know what is really odd to me, the comment just above this persons comment is of the very same nature, baseless. I responded and maybe now we will get to a point. Keep watch if you like, my friend! And again, thank you, kindly, Victoria

Your abities and creativity is the greatest. I love everything you and Richard have done through the years.
💚💚💚🤗🤗🤗
MAGICAL!

Victoria- Perhaps the most meaningful and enlightening words I have heard in such a very, very long time " ...we were out floating around the world trying to find home ...and we did. We found it everywhere we were...." It brought me a tear. My best- Uncle Robert
Thank you Victoria …you are soooo precious and see beauty in everything …I loved your old home ..fascinating ❤️❤️🥰
You found home every where you were - and finding beauty and joy everywhere you went! What a beautiful heart you have. I love love love listening to your stories and thoroughly loved seeing your moms painting and you and Richard’s handiwork.
Lol my husband and kids loves your videos too. He finds you so happy, real, and transparent. So refreshing in this busy and stressful world.
I just giggled when you told the story about the cow and your mom. I love the room and especially the way you have pointed out every detail. What a beautiful treasure .
Showing the origin of the McKenzie Child’s pieces…from the wall art of your mother to the lamps is wonderful! Thanks again for sharing!
Elegant solutions.
What a perfect phrase.
Sums up the best of life's goals !

It's Gwenda!! I absolutely love all of your stories and explanations!! You are adorable!! I need some of your thinness!! A Precious Lady ! That's you! Much love and prayers for your best!
Victoria no one beats your Creativity!!! Am in awe of your enthusiasm. The Artist of ALL times!!! Enjoyed every second!!! Thank You!!!
So romantic and. longed for!
I would like to see them in a safer home.
Tra La! Gosh, you make it sound like so much fun. Some day itvwill be a perfect project, I think. Until the. You shall have to suffer me on TH-cam🙄🤠
I love your amazing home thank you for sharing with us my friend 👏🌿🐝🌿👏
Welcome aboard, dear Elizabeth!
Very beautiful!
Amazing Grace! All the loving and living! Blessed New Year and safe days!
Love you!❤
I wish you still had the house with such wonderful memories
It is still with us in our reminiscences. I hear tell it is for sale. I’m sure the right next steward is awaiting to care. The first folks to take it on, were a godsend, until their needs changed and they are moving on
Thanks for sharing your private home with us. It’s as unique as you are. Keep that wonderful spirit!
Dear Carol, thank you for your comment. And, of course, we … we all shall keep the Spirit. It’s a given!😁
LOVE your stories and insights to so much!!!!
You are so eloquent! Your stories are fascinating and now we know you were born to a very talented woman!
This is far from boring Victoria!!!
Ahoy, Victoria
keep these coming please
Victoria, you and Richard are the perfect example of the peace and contentment we all can have, if we put our trust in God. How many couples have we heard of who want for no material thing, but cannot live together. And how many cases have we heard about where a loss is incurred and the partnership doesn’t survive💔. And Heather… what a foundation she has been given to build her life upon ! God must be looking down at you today and saying, “ Well done, good and faithful servants ! “.
You are so brave! I do not know how you were able to let go of that wonderful home!
You created a beautiful home there and now you are still there in your creations for someone else to experience. That's so lovely. Now you're creating another beautiful space. If you hadn't moved to where you are now, just think of how cold and dreary it would have been. Now you're breathing a new life into Yankee. I never tore watching you and absolutely loved hearing the story of how your previous home came to be what it is.❤
You are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your love with us
Ok i have an artistic dress form and now I know what to do with my old jewelry. Thanks for the idea
You are quite the story teller. Love your imagination & creativity. Happy New Year!

I think you are a talented and wonderful person
Absolutely beautiful home filled with stories. Thank you for sharing 💕
Not boring at all very beautiful!
Love your stories! Your Mom did such a wonderful job painting the family.. amazing idea to paint your beautiful environment.
I appreciate and feel very privileged that you have shared this most intimate archives of your family, with your Mother’s vision which she captured so beautifully. I feel like I’m visiting a naïf museum. Thank You for sharing this special tour of your private life.
Love your mom' s art, your stories' MC creations!!
Happy New Year to you & Richard!❤🌼🎆
You look absolutely stunning in this video!
All your family members are so artistic! That's wonderful details on the wall, so lively.
Fabulous 😍 video. Love watching your videos so much.
I’m so happy for you Patricia … AND for myself! -just to know it is meeting youth!
Please keep telling us stories 💛
I’m trying hard to keep going, Amy. I know it is the right thing to do to help and share and love our precious world. But I do need all of you to help me to increase subscribership and to broaden the reach by sharing. Can you work at that, Amy? I know it is God’s gift to us all, but we must let it shine as transparent and hearty and thinking of others other than our own happiness. Thank you so very much, dear one.
LOVE your enthusiasm, your art and your family stories. Please never stop, Victoria. Hugs
Your art and creatively will always inspire us Victoria, we need more people like you especially now ❤❤🐦🐰
Victoria and Richard, Happy New year!!! YEAH 2022!!! Sending LOVE your way!!!
I love your wardrobe! I am always excited to see what you are wearing 💚
It makes me so happy and so richly ebdowed! .
@@victoriamackenzie-childs7215 I’ll post a video with the links to the sale page- the local TV station will be filming them this week. There are so many happy stories just as I know you have stories of your ferry. It takes a huge commitment to keep these things going.
You created a beautiful home with alot of memories.
Chi Mary! Thank you for recognizing all the good! That Goodness is ever-present, … if we acknowledge it.
Fondly, Victoria

Thank you so much! What a treasure box.
I feel a little melancholy after this video. It would be so difficult for me to have given up the walls that hold such dear memories of my life and family. ❤️ But I am reminded: ISAIAH 43:19. Behold! I will do a new thing! 💫🕊💫
Adore your necklace 🙂
What a wonderful home to live in. Did they purchase the house furnished?
Victoria, your mother seems to have a wonderful imagination and sense of humor that she used in her painting. Too cute!!
The Tao according to Victoria 💗
Hello Victoria, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you’re inspirational. Both you and Richard are so creative, it’s beyond belief. Now here’s a question that you may have answered before and I might have missed but it’s this, how did you come to live on Yankee and do you stay on it all year long?
Such beautiful art u created wish u could be selling things u create
I'm so fascinated by all the details and stories that those walls your mother painted tell. Is there a treatment that can be applied to the walls to make sure they last forever? I would like to see this house become a museum one day :o}
May I ask who is behind the camera filming your adventures for us?
You mom was an artist!????
🧑🏻🎨
I think you should simply delete unhelpful and unsupportive comments. Some people get a real charge out of confronting ppl they don’t know, online, and straight up being mean. There’s no place for that on your sites
i like watching you, But its hard to hearyou, you need to get a mic, please, , i dont want to miss a vidieo.
I shall think of you and it will remind me to check the sound, ok?
You are nuts
I love nuts and if you don't you are missing out! We all can't be nuts some of us are Fruits! Be blessed hope you find what you are in life. Being a nut has been so much fun.
