Thanks for the session. One query here...As you said always the NSG attached to NIC will take lead when there is a conflict. Can you please lemme know if the NSG attaced to subnet has DENY rule and NSG attached to NIC has ALLOW, then which will be applied...Deny or Allow??? Cz, i was believing that if something needs to be allowed at VM level then it shouldn't be denied at any level neither NIC nor subnet. Please clarify.

It will deny.. The example which he has given here in the video is scenario based.. Say you want to allow RDP to all VM's except few VM's then you create a NSG and attach to the NIC of the VM's which you need to restrict traffic..

Hi sir
I have couple of doubts
1) Within the single NSG, can we attach both Subnet and NIC ?
2) As u said that, NSG which is attached to NIC is having more priority when compare to NSG-subnet.
So, I have given priority =100 to NSG-subnet and priority = 200 for NSG-NIC. In this case which one it takes?
(NOTE: 3389=allow)

I think the Priority concept works within the same NSG , i.e. here you are setting Priorities in two different (separate) NSG groups that is NSG-Subnet & NSG-NIC. , IF you have given priorities in an single NSG group that is in NSG-NIC than it will select the one with lesser priority number. Hope may help a little bit. Thank You.
