    We are Bill and DeAnna Edmister of Living the Silver Life and are full time RVers.
    We’d love for you to join our Nomad Family so you can come along for the ride and ‘Get Up & Get Out.
    We have been MIA for a couple months because we have been hanging out with family so we didn't have the material to post for travels. But we are back on the road, and in Pensacola, Florida at Ft. Pickens Campground which is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore which extends from Mississippi to Florida. The beaches are white sand, and were not overly crowded. It's about 8 miles from Pensacola so most people use the beaches in the city which leaves the ones in the Fort Pickens area lightly used by the campers and maybe a few day pass people. It's located on the western tip of the Santa Rosa Island.
    Join us next week when we will share our time at Fort Pickens and the batteries used during the WW1 and 2.
    Hope you enjoy your time with us.

    Nice video with a beautiful song wrapped into it. We stayed at Fort Pickens back in early December. The weather was beautiful. I enjoyed watching the Blue Angels do some training runs from our campsite. You are right about the value of the America The Beautiful pass. What a value indeed. Safe travels this winter.

    • @LivingtheSilverLife
      @LivingtheSilverLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      We heard them more often than saw them, but we did get to watch a couple times while sitting back at camp. Our America the Beautiful pass paid for itself within the first year so you are right about that. Be safe, Bill and DeAnna

That’s a beautiful campground and just by the sea with white sanded beach 🥰It was nice to see all those dolphins 🐬 there was a lot of them 😲Love the Jeep and Winnebago at 8:41 🤑Yes we should always carry water with us …you never know what can happen or where we can go …so much interesting things everywhere 🤪It was a nice trail ! That frog wanted a free ride …hope you gave him one …Lol! 🤪 So cute ! Sure is a mystery on how he got up there 🤣🤣🤣Wow! You can see some armadillos there 😲 never saw one before . So will be waiting to see your next video of the ruins of Fort Pickens

      We had such a good time there, and basically had the beaches to ourselves. The weather was chilly in the morning, but it was nice and warm by mid-morning. We definitely need to be better about grabbing water. We've done it many times. We plan to be gone just an hour, and it turns into three. 😂😂😂. Just be glad, you only see armadillos in videos. They are kind of a pest. They love to dig. They are interesting to watch in places that aren't your yard. 😂. I wish the pictures of the dolphins had come out better. We didn't take the good camera with us. All we had was our phones so they turned out a bit grainy. Be safe guys, Bill and DeAnna

    Happy Sunday and welcome back to the silver screen with your silver living (could not resist that pun:-) The thing about the USA is that you have the freedom and chance to go from the cold north and to the warm south; and it looks very nice to be down in Pensacola. I guess it cheers you up a lot to be able to relax in such a nice place while it is freezing back home:) I am impressed by the size of some of the caravans on the camping ground - much bigger than what you will find here in Europe! And looking forward to the next episode when you will explore the forts - that will be interesting for me! So enjoy your day and stay warm! All the best, Ant

      Love the pun. You are so creative. It really is nice that if you're too cold or too hot, you can just move. This beach was awesome. It wasn't overcrowded; which is unusual for Florida. There are. definitely some large rigs here.

    Hey both welcome back we missed your videos and coincidentally just a few hours ago I left a msg on your previous video checking how you were !
    This was great, I loved Gulf Island seashore it was so beautiful and I loved the close up of you both smiling on the beach. That campsite looked great and the walk that you did on the trail looked lovely and like you said it would be good to cycle there, we would, we love cycling so much :) The tea place that you visited sounded really good and quite informative too, good thing you knew not to take that Holly leaf in tea that would make you vomit ! 😀 . Good to see Armadillos as we don't have them here and that little frog on Bill's bike wax adorable, so tiny and I too wondered how he got up there!
    This was so lovely :) ~ Anna ❤ 👍

      Thanks. We love this area too, but our favorite part was that it is quite the trek from town to use these beaches. There are so many closer to town; leaving this one, for the people who are camping or using a day pass to visit the fort. We enjoyed the trail system. Next week, you'll see it's also good for biking. That little frog was just adorable.

    How ever did you find such an isolated beach in Florida?!?! Those armadillos are pesky, little critters. Every now & then one will get through or over our privacy fence in to the backyard and we have to chase it out. We're supposed to be getting another cold front here in FL moving in this week-end. Just sayin'...

    • @LivingtheSilverLife
      @LivingtheSilverLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know how we got so lucky. We've always wanted to stay here, but didn't realize that the distance from town would make it so isolated. Guess there are just so many closer that people use them. Leaving only visitors to this national seashore area to use this one. It was amazing.
      Armadillos are very pesky. We have a ton in Texas too. They are quite the diggers.
      Yes, I think the cold front is here. I am wearing a jacket as I type this.
