What do you do if you have Hotspot, but anything that connects doesn't get data? I've tried everything short of a factory reset.

Same! This only happens when I get this mobile data plan (unlimited for a period of time) so I believe this is something my mobile provider does.. is there a way to change this??

Back to 2,4 Hz reset

Dude - you are ten thousand times a legend. I've tried everything and was pulling my hair out. I'm a High School teacher and need to hot-spot my laptop to my phone. It worked perfectly well for years, but Samsung did an update on my phone two days ago and it wouldn't work anymore. Okay I just tried this and somehow the phone will connect to other devices BUT it will say "No Internet" then "sign in" and I can't get into gstatic.

If this doesn't work This is for androids: Go to settings on your phone, look up access points, it will send you to mobile network, click on access point names , go into the option your given scroll all the way to the second last thing , change it from the default that says none change to a option with the label spn. might be a little different depending on the type of phone but you get the gist .

Most modern phones work BETTER as Hot Spots on 5Ghz vs 2.4 Ghz, as long as phone is close to other device and device supports 5 Ghz as most all now do, correct, you may want to edit that part of your video?

You have to have a very strong connection and sometimes you have to factory reset your device and restarting it won't work I've tried.

I have a different kind of Q, my mobile hotspot data is being used without ever being enabled and once it reaches 5G, my entire data slows down. Called T-Mobile at least 10 times and they had no clue how to fix it, they even changed my already 1 month old new Galaxy S24+ with another and still the same issue. ANY IDEAS to how to fix it??

Under your mobile data, or hotspot settings, is there a "set limit" Option? If so, it might be set on 5g by default, but I'd think your provider's tech support would know that?

@popjaw1andOnly Believe it or not, i fixed the problem MYSELF by switching from the esim to physical sim just last week and the mobile hotspot data usage has not moved a centimeter since then. I called Tmobile probably 50times, from customer service to technical support to their engineers and none of them could fix the issue.they were all useless.

I will never buy Miui phones again because their update version is horrible. Especially the Miui 14 update.
if youre phone is 2 years or older it will be a disaster once you update the latest version.
it doesn't matter how good the phone is if developers will make updates perform like a virus.
