All you need to do in order to activate full screen carplay on that car is it update the HU firmware to a later version, 18-03, 18.07 then run Feature installer again. Earlier versions of firmware don't support Full Screen Carplay. No hardware upgrades are required. Before you update the HU run feature installer first to revert to factory FSC's , update HU, then run Feature installer again.
