It must be a nightmare for anyone inexperienced in working on Brit bikes when faced with various different thread sizes! You need a really wide selection of spanner’s & sockets. The next episode sounds as though it was a bit of a task. Looking forward to it.
For me, I really enjoy learning about the different tools, threads, etc. Collecting tools is part of the fun/enjoyment - I have a separate toolbox just for my commando. Being a mechanical engineer and having talented friends in our machine shop we have made some custom tools for my bike as well.
@@markpoling7917 Being an engineer by trade greatly helps. Having access to a machine shop with talented friends/ colleagues is like winning the lottery as far as maintaining old bikes is concerned. I’m so envious! Lol.
Chris, how did the cam sprockets look along with the cam timing chain, new set/kit required? Enjoying the videos !
I've not checked them yet. I'll check them and all components thoroughly when I've finished dismantling the engine.

Any washer on the back of the gear ⚙️?
No, no washer (I'm pretty sure).
Thanks becaouse we have washer on the 750cc atlas and dominator 500cc@@Chris.rooke150
Just my opinion, don't use an impact driver to remove the nut. Remove it by hand
Stan, what's your reasoning for this?
