This is one of the best hidden gems in this area! I live 20 mins away and there are so many people who don’t know about this park or how great it is. Your not suppose to walk on bike trails!! You can only walk on foot trails or horse trails. This IS THE BEST mountain bike trails. It’s huge!! Different difficulty trails, easy to very challenging bike trails. Tent Camping is great but unfortunately this park, like many in Fl don’t have many trees, so tent camping can be very hot! (Madrid park is awesome for tent camping, it’s pretty close to this park, not far at all. Great bank fishing at Madrid also, very large lake, excellent for boat fishing. ) There is bike rental, but not canoe rentals, yet.
You are so right about the bike trails :) We learned quickly that we were walking on the wrong trail. Hope to have a chance to return and maybe bring our bikes to enjoy all the trails. Thanks for the great information and for watching Cherie !!
Great video as all ways! I'm too afraid of snakes to do that but it's nice to watch from the safety of my chair! LOL Where is your son,let him know he was missed. Ruth
rae1957tn Thank you! Our son was working because he is saving for college this Fall. Plans changed for him as he was denied entry into the Coast Guard due to a surgery he had when he was very young. He has decided to become a Park Ranger for the National Park Service. We are so excited for him and look forward to hearing about his new adventures. What do the gps unit cost?
Usually around 50-100 depending on what brand and features. Good fun and worth every penny.
