@@Orsemanjust cause champs have no mana doesn't mean the item isn't good on her. Some people go liandries on rumble if enemy team is very tank /front line heavy. He doesn't use mana. Riot made the items use being useable depending on enemy team comp. There isn't a "best" item for every game.

A good 50% health left, knows whats coming and just emotes.
As long as she doesn't get nerfed into the ground i think she is going to be really fun to play 22:35 also adc and support players enjoy more of this
the projectile is easy to dodge tho, try to react fast enough to nocturne or vex R, almost impossible
@motafu1 you really think both adc and support will be smart enough to dodge the ult ? i think we both know 9/10 times we are gonna hit that ult and get a double kill because 1 or the other WALKED INTO THE ULT when it wasnt even gonna hit them lol

This character is so wild, love the concept so much and I think it was executed well besides needing to be tuned down probably but I understand the risk of having a character like this be bad, they’d be REALLY BAD
Yeah. Gonna be hard to balance her. She'll probably be a pub stomper like yi in lower elos, but near worthless in higher elos where they know and can coordinate just to cc lock her til she's dead. Cause unlike yi, she can't dodge ANYTHING, and her 'no damage button' isn't remotely as strong as yi's or bel'veths.
Yeah I see a buff into her e and nerf on the ult, otherwise I'd say pretty balanced honestly with cc and counter picks
I actually feel bad for that teemo 😂. Every time he got hit by the ult he was like, well here i go again 😂. Poor teemo

Yup I was thinking Youmuu's would be way better over Duskblade, with innate damage reduction on Briar's E and mini stan on Q.
Aldo at level 6 she kind of 1v1s most, if not all, of the champions given she hits her ult.
Riot team really just said:

she's not that strong, people just don't know how to dodge her ult and cc her, this lethality build makes her so squishy that even an underfed trundle can almost kill her

yeah he pressed W after every ult, I think he thinks it's a recast to stop it, but you can only stop your W or ult with your E

yeah, her e is really wonky to use to stop her frenzy, so hard cc will be really easy to land. Though she's a late game monster with all the ad scalings
idk i feel with her amount of mobility and cc ability, that higher ranked players will find a way to make the uncontrolable useful. honestly for me its an overloaded kit that won't be fun to deal with at all once people get how to play her.
The Q dash makes her controllable for skilled players since you can dash to anything.

As a jungler watching Zwag be absolutely ass in terms of fundamentals of jungling (Pathing, Clearing, etc.) but then end up playing the game better than I play half the time makes me feel this sort of weird mix of emotions lmao.

Briar seems like a really high ceiling character, and I look forward to seeing insane community plays. But, theres something about her that bugs me. I think it's her walking animation. Her feet slide when she steps, so even when her foot is planted, it's moving forward and it just makes her feel like... unfinished or unpolished. The character is great, and she's going to have some AMAZING skins, I'm sure. They just need to tighten up that walking animation

She gives me a mixed vibe of Jinx, Evelyn, and Neeko. Either way she’s awesome and I love her!
I think she's a personality in an of her own. She's closer to Neeko in terms of them both trying to understand themselves in a world they're new to, but Briar is trying to understand agency and freedom and Neeko is trying to find a new home. Briar ain't even close to that, cuz she doesn't know what friends and family truly are. If they care about lore, maybe she'll get to that point one day
On very slippery targets I could imagine a somewhat mixed build around slows. If you ult in the first attack could slow via Prowlers Claw. If they immediately jump you could follow with Q or if not hold it for later. Then after 3 attacks Blade of the ruined King would steal movement speed. And after all 3 sources of cc are used a Stridebreaker could slow them even longer while also granting you additional movement speed. You probably could even ad a Randuin's Omen to be quite a bit more annoying or Serylda's Grudge if it procs of her W. XD
And if they try to cc you back you can throw in a Mercurial Scimitar or Silvermere Dawn.
This champ is the league embodiment of Leeroy Jenkins vibes.

I feel like briar is a mid-game monster that falls off a cliff in late game team fights. Maybe she could work as a split pusher late game, and use her ult to join in team fights as necessary at objectives?

Her wave clear seems so good. So satisfying
So I've done a bit of testing with her and really liked lethal tempo, BORK-BT-navori-more crit items (best build by me), tank is also viable with grasp/conq, BORK-jak'sho/heartsteel-titanic, and if you want to go AP you should go nashors-riftmaker-dcap, still don't know the best runes for AP tho
Three Briar builds i want to see you try.
Bruiser : Frozen Mallet, Cleaver, Shojin. Get the sheen proc and slow off mallet, movespeed and armor shred off cleaver, and the damage and cdr boost off shojin. Throw in Deaths Dance or one of the tiamat items for regen and a warmogs for hp regen between fights. Use Conqueror for this one
On hit : Guinsoos, BotRK, Phantom Dancer, Kraken Slayer. Build to maximize use of her attack speed steroids and shred everything. Use Lethal Tempo for this one.
CDR : Quicklabes, essence reaver (dont need the mana but great for the rest), kraken, Phantom Dancer. This would be fun for the crazy ability resets. So much mobility

@@motafu1 and the way her w works feels similar to Kleds w with the burst of attack speed, idk she’s not like super similar but the play style feels pretty similar and some of the moves have some resemblance

I think it's even unlucky that you're up against ezreal who has a free flash, fizz who can also easily slip away, teemo who can just q you and zyra who can just root + ult you.
On a side note, though...
Wouldn't the crit build also be viable? Since she also goes all-in like olaf does and I remember him having a full out crit build that works in some situations. And through navori it would be easier to get out of the frenzy since E is up more frequently. Or maybe start as lethality and if it falls late game (if it goes really late) switch to the crit build? Not sure how this would be in ranked, just brainstorming right now regarding her potential
I remmeber that berserk status is also used in Renata's ult... Just wonder if you can break out of Renata's berserk by using E? Or they count as two different status, and Briar can only cancel her own version of berserk?
tbh it sounds just like Riot to forget to code them as separate effects

You should try Briar mid lane. Then coordinate with the jungler, for when the jungler ganks, you use your ult to whichever lane they went to. So it's always a 3 or 4 person attack. The side lanes wouldn't even know you were coming.
She sucks so bad midlane, why would yoy go to the shortest lane with a champ that can so easily br led under turret?

At 9:30, the reason why you were still Frenzied was because you pressed W AFTER Fizz died. Her R's Empowered Frenzy will stop once the target (or you) is killed OR if you cancel it with E.

Hey Zwag, u should try a crit build with Navori so u would have ur e more often to cancel ur w and the damage would be insane too
I think best for her will be MS AA HP build:
Stridebreaker (MS, HP + time (using active slow) for stacking runes, passive and items)
Wit's End (on-hit, AS, MS, MR)
Black Cleaver (Armor pen + HP + MS + CDR)
Blade of the Ruined King (Sustain + MS +AS + on-hit)
Hullbreaker (MS + HP + Resists + Push) - (hier +150% base HP regen is useless) or any Hydra (HP or sustain + Push)
Any boots needed
+ runes:
Press the Attack/Lethal Tempo/Conqueror (depends on enemy team)
Triumph
Legend: Tenacity/Alacrity (depends on enemy team)
Last Stand
Nimbus Cloak/Waterwalking (depends on enemy team)
Celerity
Briar but you send every ult into their nexus and roll the dice

I think the reason she's built as a bruiser, is because of her passive healing when the enemy is bleeding, imagine building her with extra healing power..
Riot is so creative. This is basically a talon+noc+vex. Like this, they can create another 200+ new champs. Good job.
