I dislike both rikki and Cleo because they didn’t have to give up anything when they became mermaids. Emma had to give up swimming which was her whole life. Rikki and Cleo are angry at Lewis for not understanding them but they literally did the same thing to Emma not understanding what it was like to quit the swimming team.
I like the final scene where Emma goes swimming. Even though she knows she'll change into a mermaid when she touches the water, she still puts on her swimsuit. It's poetic
I was thinking the same thing. Wearing her competition swimming suit is so poetic and sad. It's like she's mourning and accepting the lost of her swimming career, while reclaiming her love for swimming, and try to keep a part of it alive in her new life. One of the only episodes with a sad ending if I recall correctly.

this show has so much personality. I love that even "side relationships" are interesting. Rikki and Lewis fighting, Emma's mom and Zane's dad, Emma and Byron having their thing... it makes it a lot more believable and fun to watch
