Good review, 987.2 owner here, I would not Rev my engine above 3k max until it comes up to temperature, always good practice for longevity of your flat 6 BoxEngine. Keep up the good work mate.

You missed out the Boxster Black Edition on your list of limited editions, was the last of 987.2. It came with more HP & torque as well as Spyder wheels and everything was black, 987 Boxsters worldwide & 500 Cayman’s

Hi Graeme good spot, think I mentioned it on the previous video. I didn’t think I would like the black edition but actually it’s really nice, is that what you have? I’m going to take the plunge soon and buy my first Boxster 987.1 can’t wait. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 👍

@@thedrivebygg sorry didn’t see previous video and yes I have a Black Edition, they don’t come up for sale often and when they do they are at the top end price wise. I think there are only 85 Boxster’s in UK and only 32 Cayman’s

Your reviews are always entertaining, but mate - the engine's cold and you're hammering the throttle? WTF!

Hi all engines had been warmed up prior, I edit out the bits in between so you don’t have to watch 10 minutes of nothing 👍 Glad you liked the video, more coming in 2024.

@@thedrivebygg The shots of the cars temperature gauges tell a different story!

@@thedrivebygg Er no, the red gen 2 gauge clearly shows it's stone cold. It's one thing to do it, a quick flick of the revs without any load as per the video is not that big a deal. But to pretend you've warmed them up when you clearly hadn't and must know that is rather poor form.

@@flat6croc And 1/2 the social media pork pundits whinge about bore scoring on the M96/97 , Toyota collaboration designed open deck cooled engines which inc s the 987.1 .The 987.2 has the 9A1 totally redesigned ( Mezgler closed deck principal) .Bore scoring almost unheard of but now I can see why even the best German engineered engines can be made to fail .Huge school boy error filming revving to 5-6 K stone cold .Even mobile 1 0w40;….is gonna struggle to keep those crank journals safe stone cold @ 6 K rpm .= Urgh !
