Great video! I'm new to digging and was thinking a personal water siphon pump would be legal to suck out the water from the hole. Taking the water out would help from the sand enclosing on itself. What do you think? Know from historical digging adventures? Thank you!
Not sure if I'd want to go after those things. That's my home town. My mom still lives there and my dad used to work at that paper mill(Like 35 years ago). I've done some clam digging around there, but never on that beach.
I watch some other videos where they use the rather narrow cam with a T handle to push down and pull the clamps up quickly. This seems like quite a bit more work, but perhaps this is what you have to do in Washington?
Great video.i will be visiting Port Townsend later this month. Where exactly your location? Where should I park? Thanks for your information in advance😊
Awesome video, I've never dug for geoducks before, it looks so hard but yet looks fun at the same time. I will have to try it some day. May I ask where the location is at in Port Townsend. Thanks in advance
@@seasonaloutdoorswitherin297 thanks for the response, hopefully one of these days you guys can show me how it's done, want to see a professional at work..
@@seasonaloutdoorswitherin297 I have more than a few 5 gallons buckets that probably can put to good use. Would you recommend the metal one over the 5 gallons bucket? I have a few friends that asked me to go for Geoduck before but seeing your video make me want to give it a try.
Well, that is so AWESOME, the poor bro digging in it, must be hard is it??? That must be YUMMY, I don’t think we HAVE those here in AUSTRALIA. 🙏 👍👍🥰💞💝💕

Is that a 5 gallon bucket?
Yes with the bottom cut out It works better if there is eelgrass to help hold the sand back.

You may be left without nails if you dig without gloves
