ya pressure from behind leave nut on to protect the threads, just loose a few turns then give the shaft a wrap with a brass or copper hammer ,it should come one.. good solid shot ..no smashing over and over ..just one hit ..it moves loosen nut some more and do it again ..over and over till its off ....
