Great video Wolf... looks like a peaceful and beautiful place. As far as me cooking in a crockpot, I just wing it and hope everything comes out alright. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to cooking. I have just a couple of things that I get lucky with and the rest is pretty simple. I love seeing how happy you are at camp. It's definitely my happy place too.👍😁
You keep it real and that's appreciated. Having a hammock a under quilt is a game changer for hammock comfort. Mine is a 20 degree, full length down from Hammock Gear. Was expensive but have slept out in very very cold temps without issues. For daytime and warmer temps you wouldn't have to go so low and the higher degree, the less expensive. Always enjoy your videos. Thanks.
Beautiful shot of the comet! I enjoy so much in your videos that you aren't afraid to show what doesn't work. The realistic aspect of van life and experimenting is important and I have great respect that you don't gloss it over or try to make it seem perfect all the time. I learn from your challenges and successes and am grateful for you sharing them. The new movie setup will be awesome for those cold Hancock trips! Best, Wolf!
Low cooker idea, chili, corned beef, chicken in red sauce, beef stew, bean soup. Time is the clue. Give whatever you cook time enough to cook, set it and forget. Thats slow cooking
We love watching your videos! Our whole family. Keep working on the slow cooker. Try chicken breast with bottle barbecue sauce. You’ll be able the shred it into pulled chicken sandwiches.
Thanks for your comments! I'm glad your family enjoys my videos, that's awesome! That chicken with barbecue sauce sounds great, I will give that a try!
Thanks for your video of Pillsbury State Park! I stayed there back at the beginning of September! I agree with your first commenter about not spilling the beans on this hidden gem! That said it’s not for everyone as there are no amenities. As far as your crock pot goes…the general rule of thumb for cook time is 4 hours on high 8 hours in low. The liquid was more than likely from the ham. Instill would have added the pineapple juice cuz yum! I usually find they have quite a bit of brine in those packaged slices. It looked good though! Thanks for your videos!
I have pretty much the identical cooker 1.5 qt that looks like maybe a 2.0 qt. I cook everything on LOW for 6- 8 hours I will start on HIGH for 30 mins then switch to LOW.
Warm clothes, campfire, perfect biscuits, ahhhhhhhhhh! Life is good.
Great live video wolf and thank you for taking us alone on your adventures. We thank you. Take it slow and stay on the go

Hey Wolf! Another great vid. Cant wait for the next livestream! Cheers!
I stayed there Oct. 9-11 at site 9. Really like that park and hope to make it back there again next Oct.

I don't need it that warm, as I'm mostly a daytime napper. At night, I'm in the van. But I do need one of those under quilts. Thanks!

My goal from the start has been to document my adventures, the good and the bad, and just show what happens as I travel. Thanks!

Thanks for the ideas. I have quite a few others that I am planning to try next year. I just need to start it early enough to give it enough time.

Thanks, I never considered the ham to have that much water. It came out pretty good for a first attempt. I'll get there.
you don't need to add much water.... a good trick is to use bone broth as the base liquid...I'll use a cup maybe 2 pending on size of batch.

Don't open the slow cooker to " stirr" things. Stirr it all up at the beginning. Leave it shut until you eat.
So, when's your next trip to Barnsfield, I missed you by a week last year.
I don't have one scheduled, but it will be sometime this winter.
i did find the leantos also, very nice except too close together.
They are kind of close, but I think that's the group site, so you take both of them anyway.
i had a bear come through at night while i was in the tent. He knocked a water jug off the table and tore open a trashbag that i forgot to secure.
I didn't see any bears while I was there, thankfully.
