You know you did an excellent job with the dub when a jp/eng comparison video also has japanese commenting on the video. They did an excellent job in picking the voices for the characters and the voice actors did an amazing job in matching the tone of the jp version. Emily Rudd especially did an amazing job as Marcille.
There’s not really much of a Marcille suffering in this episode as its more Laios-centric. ^^; I don’t mind though - he’s pretty funny when it comes to going all geeky in eating monsters, living armor included…even though he can get borderline creepy at times >v>;;

Happens in American animation, too. I think they farm out animation to different studios at once so they can get the series finished more quickly than if one studio animated the whole show.
@@河川敷の草 in Italy, we have professional dubs and voice actors. After the jap dub, I think the Italian dub is overall the best. It's not perfect but is noticeable that the job is done well.
What are these stupid ass remarks? There have always been professional voice actors and quality work in that area, just not focused on anime specifically. As someone who has accompanied dubs for at least three languages always, this is just some biased shit coming from people brain rotted from culture war crap.
I love that Marcille's JP VA is the same one as Hiroi Kikuri's from Bocchi the Rock. She doesn't manufacture her voice at all so it just sounds like a sober Kikuri running around as an elven mage, & I'm all for it

It's a translation thing, Jap "It's not the time" means "Can't you see we are busy now?"

Honesty, i love the english dub! Also, i'm just kinda tired hearing japanese and reading subs all the time, so this is a pretty fresh experience.
To me, i'd prefer eng dub, cuz i don't want my eyes too focused to read subs and just enjoy the animation.
