    Hi from PA! I just came across your tutorial . I am fairly new to journaling and this is the way I want to attach my signiatures. You have done an excellent job of explaining how to use this particular method. Thank you! I am going to check out your videos. Have a great day! Hugs

    At last a bind that I can do. I am allergic to the sewing needle. lol this is fabulous, I will make my Christmas journal using this method with elastic cord, so I can have a bit of stretch for adding more papers to the signatures if I need too. Thank you for this tutorial.

    What a great idea. I made a journal and all its signatures and didn't affix the signatures in as the thought of binding/ sewing them in scared me. I'll definitly try this

      I tried sewing in my signatures into 2 journals....what a joke. They are ugly and I didnt get the right one into the right holes. A fiasco for sure. So I'm ready for a simple way. This will work

    I'm going to have to do mine like this. I cannot sew in a signature to save my life. I dont know how people do it. But his will work too. Also I have elastic jewelry cord that I have used to hold my signatures and that's way cool too but I can see it maybe wearing out someday. Thanks for this tute

    thanks! did you happen to make a video showing how to add the bead embellishments to the string?

    • @Kagedfish
      @Kagedfish  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, not to the string itself but this video shows the basic process - th-cam.com/video/U6TKJ0DYF-U/w-d-xo.html

    Great method. Do they ever get saggy?.

    • @Kagedfish
      @Kagedfish  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes I use something that stretches a bit and if I take the pages in and out a lot the strands can stretch a bit. You can replace the fiber or tie another knot to take up some of the slack.

    I am the lady in this picture. when I use this binding I cut slits in the spine to hold the string for me. then I punch a hole run it through the hole then back down the slit.

    basicly like a traveler's notebook...

    • @Kagedfish

      I'm not sure what a "traveler's notebook" is. I like being able to change the pages when ever I want.

      Kagedfish a midori/fauxdori/traveler's notebook use this type of binding. thousands of vids and blogs on them.

    • @Kagedfish
      @Kagedfish  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't use any of those. I have always known this type of binding as an easy twine binding. There are many how to videos online for this binding. There are probably thousands of ways to use it and it's probably known as different names. I didn't invent this so it might just be from the types of books you mentioned.
