apparently it was changed due to Rothbart coming off as too dark which supposedly clashed with how his voice actor portrayed him, so they gave him the campier song. honestly for me i like both and i think this could have worked if the lyrics were retooled for it being in the beginning of the story like Rothbart singing this as his declaration to take revenge on the king, it sets him up nicely and he can have no more mr. nice guy to show off his "disney villain" side. it just sucks this never got animated
The Black Cauldron for sure, because it comes from 1985, but Quest For Camelot and Anastasia? Well, that's the same, but Anastasia comes from 1997 and Quest For Camelot from 1998.
oh I didn't know there was this deleted song on Swan Princess, this was better much to put on than "No More Mr. Nice Guy", it feels much creepy and shows how evil and sinister Rothbart as villain really is, I really don't understand why they didn't play it, the other song sound almost silly and gracious
Avitha Nigam I think this should have stayed don’t get me wrong I love his other song but this shows how cruel, evil and dark rothbart really is. “Odette missed her chances to be the queen and my wife” shows that he sorta liked her that’s why he didn’t straight away take the kingdom with magic but since he realized that odette would never love him he chooses her end.
Again, this would have made more sense than the one they went with. We get to see him upset about the change of plans and having the idea of the fake. Why on erath did they go with the other one?
To be honest, I think someone should convince them to re-release the original Swan Princess movie, but cut out no more. Mr. Nice guy. And animate this scene into the movie. Disney has done similar stuff like this So why not them?
"odette missed her chances to be both my queen and my wife, now she must pay with her life" scariest part of this is some men still do think the same way and straightup murder the women who aren't interested in dating them, which is why this song gives me the creeps tbh
@Cward5656 Yeah, I was once sexualy assaulted before, but the girl who did that was far from sociopathic, unlike Rothbart. Regardless, I can see why they didn't use this song for as good as it was.
Wish this was in the movie instead of No More Mr. Nice Guy because this song reminds the audience that Rothbart is an evil psychopath who killed Odette’s father. I hate how No More Mr. Nice Guy makes Rothbart look like a silly fun villain even though he’s a murder and a psychopath. I wish this and the deleted scene that’s in Swan Princess 5 were in the first movie instead of what we got.
Agree and btw, don’t u mean assassinated when applied to King William? Here’s the thing; he was a monarch before his assassination by Rothbart. It would have remind the viewers that Rothbart happened to be King William’s assassin.
@@sirorliktheironcladthough don’t get me wrong he should be dark being King William’s assassin, which is why it applies to William because he was a monarch until his own assassination by Rothbart
Wait a minute... It shows that making the vow killed her- it's Odette dropping dead next to Derek at the ball...not transforming to Bridget. I don't quite understand what is happening here. But I loved the lyrics and the storyboard. I like the tune of No more Mr Nice guy, but it sounded more like "I'm gonna ruin the ball!" Than "I am a villain and here's my evil plan" which comes across here.
I honestly agree what were they even thinking back then. This would have made the movie Absolutely brilliant, greater, better, cooler and perfect and awesome than no more Mr nice guy.
I know a lot of people say that this is superior to No More Mr. Nice Guy. But personally, I think they made the right choice to deleted this song. Sure, the final song isn’t as dark as this one, but it’s kind of the point. The whole moral of the movie was, “Don’t judge everything by what they seem to be.”, and if they kept this initial song in, Rothbart would’ve been seen as evil through and through. By replacing it with No More Mr. Nice Guy, we get a upbeat Friend Like Me-like song, that capture Rothbart’s personality very well, which is important to the story, to show that even though he may seem as a laughable sorcerer, he’s actually really dangerous and violent. I do wish however, that Jack sang the final song, instead of replacing him.
I always hated No More Nice Guy and would skip that song because it was so boring and out of character. This would have worked so much better. Such a shame they replaced it.
Interesting that "Vengeance is what I believe in; I don't get mad, I get even" was one of the few lyrics to make it into the final song.
A much better villain song than what they went with. Fits a villain like Rothbart better than No More Mr. Nice Guy.
💯💯💯💯💯

Wow, this was really good. This would’ve been a lot cooler to put in the film! I think this would’ve made a brilliant villain song
sure why not i agree
it's so villainous and dark of Rothbart's song.

This is actually really catchy. I wonder how many more deleted song demo's they have locked up somewhere, it'd be cool to see more of them.
I wonder why they didn't use this song? It truly captures Rothbart as the wicked warlock he is.
it's probably they don't want to scare the kids in a too negative way.

I think so too and
to have the song with a scary evil theme for Rothbart.

This is really creepy. Especially when he says “It only seems fitting that her prince do the killing.” That kinda gave me chills.
I’m glad they went with No More Mr. Nice Guy but this was awesome!!!
yeah sure no more mr. nice guy song was so humor and style
but the song was so interesting of a darkly wicked way.

Yes. Are you familiar with Junko Furuta case? That was quite brutal.
I have known women like this as well. They terrified me

This might be to me that it's a counterpart similar of the black cauldron dark film.
I think this song is superior to the one they ended up using.
It makes me appreciate Rothbart as a villain much more.
It certainly seems more logical from an emotional perspective!!
