I learned a lot from this video, I felt like it was an old friend talking to me. I live in the UK and I am on Xarelto 10mg a day and there is evidence of regular bleeding when I go to the toilet. It took 7 doctor's appointments and 3 cardiology appointments, various blood tests, chest x-ray, echo cardiogram, 48 hour halter test, lung capacity test etc over two years before finally getting a CT scan which revealed a swollen right side of the heart, a blood clot in the right lung, a nodule in the left lung and an aneurysm near my spleen. The nodule has been re-scanned and is stable, the aneurysm is due another scan in 2025, I am now being looked after by the respiratory department and awaiting further tests to determine why I am so breathless and unable to walk more than a few meters and climb a few stairs without gasping like a fish out of water. I am 74 years old had the vaccine in February 21 and been going down hill ever since, I also had covid in 2021. Our health system is great but is becoming totally overwhelmed with the sheer number of sick patients and new arrivals to the country.
Thanks a lot. Very illuminating. I’ve been dealing with a-fib for a long time. Two months ago my heart went into persistent a-fib. Cardiologist told me to start Xarelto 20 mg once a day with food to prevent blood clots that can cause a stroke. My heart’s left atrial appendage was completely removed during a mini-maze operation 8 years earlier. So I asked where inside my heart can a blood clot form. The cardiologist then told me that the insurance company will not pay for my care if I’m not taking Xarelto. I thought to my self, “Why not just tell me that at first instead of trying to mislead me”.
My doctor put me on Xarelto for 10.5 months to deal with a blood-clout in my leg. I recently had a ultrasound and they said it wasn’t there anymore. Today is my last day taking this drug.
I’ve been on xerelto for years because I’ve had two i idiopathic clots My question is xerelto the medication I should be taking because from all indications I have to be on it for life. I don’t have a fib. Thank u
But if you have to take frequent blood tests and doctor visits with warfran I would argue the cost is much higher than you present. I was prescribed Xarelto but my next followup isn't for 6 months.

How have you been since off? Any issues?
Well, not related to this medication, but I did get COVID while in the hospital.
Markinpuff ugh no. I hope you’re doing better. I’m sorry to hear that.
After getting off Xarelto did you feel any heaviness in your leg or are you doing fine now ?
@@Peter_Gazer I’m fine in that regard, still dealing with other strange elements of post-Covid life.
Thank You !
I asked a local pharmacist what XARELTO costs, before any insurance reduction to the consumer. $683. This was for 20mg dosage. I won't be taking it.

In China it cost 15 usd for 3 month at 20mg a day, maybe a licensed version
