Don't forget Paratici brought Serie A Defender of the Year Romero when we were in the Conference League and had Nuno as our manager.
Melia looks good at getting his body between the defender and the ball. Kane is a master at that..Everyone was saying he goes down to easy but ...the defender doesn't seem to get the ball off him ..plus he seems quick and can dribble.Promising.
Listened to this late! I think if you listen to Lange the point he makes is the reason why some of these players signed is because the effort Tottenham had gone through to identify them, and get to know them ---> i.e., making them feel SPECIFICALLY wanted. The approach of playing clubs off against each other sort of goes counter to that. There is probably a middle way in there somewhere. Also quite frankly the Spurs sales pitch to an established player right now is pretty weak - especially when you are up against a Man City or Juve AND you have a whole string of first string players coming back in to presumably start again - its not ONLY about the money, its about convincing the player. Also we showed that we are ready to pay serious money - which is what we have also been asking for. I think there's tons of room for improvement but I also think they ARE taking things on board both at ENIC and Ange level (e.g., our highline statistically has DROPPED A LOT since last year) and we are not really giving credit.
I don’t think Danso was our first choice. We had tried for Tomori, late in the window. Who knows who else we tried for. I did read somewhere that Lens were looking for £25m for Danso at the start of the window. We have got him for £21m late in the window. Saved £4m. But aren’t league places worth £3.5m. Buy him at the start of the window and we would have more points. Maybe less injuries. Wolves had a medical booked in with him, so it seems we were stumbling about cluelessly and went for him very quickly as he was very close to going to Wolves. We have bought a lot more youngsters. The club need to think about now and learn their lesson in the summer. If we have any hope of even a push for top 4 next year we need ready now players. We have more than enough youngsters for now,

How’s this for sh*t luck. I’m off to Anfield tomorrow, and whatever happens my night will be disappointing! Lose obviously we’ll all be gutted, but win and I only miss the final as it’s the day I fly back from a holiday! Only saw what date the final is tonight! I’m devastated

It's irrelevant who was better out of Paratici or Lange. Paratici put himself out of the picture and got himself banned.
Eddie Howe just destroyed and dumped Woolwich out the cup. Masterful, from an English manager, who we could have signed way back when. He changed Newcastles system in just 48 hrs, tactically to face Woolwich. Also said they spent the 48hrs prepping defence for set pieces, in order to nullify Woolwich main threat. We'd never get that from Ange. We'll lose to Liverpool, then at some point go out in FA cup and Europa. Then Ange gets sacked. Just a matter of time
