I can't find the entire lyrics online, but it's more or less about staying true to yourself, never giving up your dignity and freedom, and living your own life according to your own terms, because it's the only one you have, despite the struggles you face. The song title (ソンゲントジユウ | 尊厳と自由| Songen to Jiyuu) translates into "Dignity and Freedom". From an interview I read that the reason the title of the album this is from is in the roman alphabet, "SONGentoJIYU", is because he really wanted to go with that theme for the title but felt just having it as "尊厳と自由" would be stiff, so he tried making it into a play on the words "Song into Jiyuu" (Song into Freedom). Hopefully this helps!

自分にとってとても大事な人が先日、長い闘病生活を経て亡くなってしまった。
別にTH-camにコメントしたって生き返らないし、何も変わらない。
でも、その大事な人が大好きだったという曲がこの「ソンゲントジユウ」らしい。
これから沢山聞いてみようと思う。
どんなに良い行いをしたって、願ったって、祈ったって、もう会えることはない。
今はただただ悔しいし、病気が憎い。本当悲しい。
母であり妻であったわたしに、わたしだけのソンゲンを取り戻してくれた大切な曲。
あの日死んでたら、この曲を聴けなかったとすると、生きててよかったと思える。そんな曲です。

最近の2枚のアルバムは「今が全盛期」ってくらい曲の粒が揃ってる

初めてイースタンユースを知ったのは16歳。九州に居た。感受性よ応答セヨだった。あれから22年経つ。今は千葉とベトナムを行ったり来たり。
あの頃から変わらず全然変わらず、一心不乱に
一点突破。シモキタぶらつくから一回くらい飲みたいぜ。吉野さんよう！そーだろーう！！！

ここ最近、eastern youthの曲が頭の中で何度も何度も再生されてる状態。それくらい久々に心を揺さぶられた日本のロックバンドだから。この曲も聴けば聴くほどほんと素晴らしい
恥ずかしながら先週になってようやくアルバム「SONGentoJIYU」聴きました。それからというもの毎朝起きたらこの曲たちを聴いて、自分の人生のことに向き合います。色々な視点がありましょうが、このアルバムは、イースタンユースのエネルギーの最高の結晶のように思えています。他にも感慨深いアルバムはありますが、朝聴くなんてできませんでした。うまく言えないです。でもアルバム本当に傑作でした。これからのイースタンユースも最高に違いないと感じました。とにかく、ここに来てこんな良いアルバム作っちゃうかね、イースタンユース。という感じ。…最高な人たちです。
目から汗が止まらない。こんな俺でも生きてていいんだ。野音の帰り道有楽町駅の吉野屋がいつもと変わって見えた。会社にしがみついてやるぜ。

学生の頃よくあるバンドの一つ位にしか感じなかったというか、あの頃は海外のバンドカッケーみたいな時期だった。
アラサーになった今彼らの音楽をこれでもかというほど毎日毎日繰り返し聴いている。
詞がメロディーがとにかく胸に刺さる。腹の底からの叫びに共感するしそれが生きる糧。
これからも聴き続けるし、新譜を心待ちにしている。
そして先日の野音は凄いライブだったなと思う。
まさに伝説。けどこれからもたくさんの伝説を作ってくれるんだろうな。楽しみ。
