Donny Osmond - Medley of Hits (Harrah's Theater, Las Vegas NV - April 6, 2023)

I was a little skeptic about seeing Donny Osmond live in concert. I had tried for years, make that decades, to stay away from the sweet, pop, sanitized music that filled the airwaves of my youth. But, to be honest, I always had a sweet tooth for songs by Air Supply, Bread, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Diana Ross and The Osmonds - in all their different creations. I was even afraid to admit I liked the Jackson Five!
Growing up, I felt I had to suppress my appetite for "sweets" and for a long time, I was an avid fan of Pink Floyd, James Brown, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Supertramp and others from the Rock and Soul genre. But then disco sneaked into my consciousness, then new wave and more. By the time I reached my 40's, I realized that I was capable of loving all kinds of music and I worried less about what other people thought. Then, by luck, I was invited to see Tony Orlando and Dawn and it was a life-changing experience. Later, I went to see Barry Manilow with friends and discovered - how cool was that!
Now, I was comfortable to see the one and only Donny Osmond. I had wanted to see him in Las Vegas when his sister, Marie, was still on the bill, but my pride prevented me from doing so for so many years, but time has changed and I have accepted my inner fanatic. I love pop music. So, thanks to #VetTix, I went to see Donny Osmond and it was a thrill and a joy and I couldn't have been more excited when he dove into his pop legacy, jukebox style. You know these songs and they still sound good after all these years.
