usually, sad animes just leave me... well, sad at the end (although they are very very good). And Angel Beats left me very sad. But it had a very very good ending when Otonoshi heard Kanade humming the song and he reached out to get her attention. That made me extremely happy.
I hated that ending!!! They'll have no memories of what happened!!! Will the group group up together again?!? Unlikely!!! It's too sad!!!!!! I'd rather they just came back to life! Then again, that's probably just me not letting go of the past.

This anime is seriously something everyone should watch. You don't need to like anime. You need learn the lessons it teaches you. Those messages of being grateful for what you have because there are countless others who don't have the luxury to even live long enough to achieve what they wanted to do in life are important and I wish everyone was aware of them.

My god I wanna cried... Watching the anime and listening the song is one thing. But actually understanding the meaning behind the lyrics is just beautiful.
It's a really beautiful song that manages to be sad while conveying a positive message, it fit the anime really well, but after all I think a lot of people who are afraid of death and can't let go can take something from this song and the anime.

The last shot of the ending on the last episode made me cry so hard, not when Kanade disappeared (though that made me cry to) but when one by one the the members of the SSS start disappearing until the only person left is Otonashi. Whenever I listen to this song, that's all I can think of, and it makes me so sad every time, that I cry just thinking of the last episode.
So the part of the song that plays when ever somebody's hit with something translates to this "I have always walked alone, when I look back everyone is faraway". This strangely suits the scenes it pops in with those lyrics.

Most people remember the rocket chairs when they listen to this but all I think of is how each word of her song express deep emotion and the ending of angel beats especially when kanade disappears then the picture of everyone fading away.......beautiful but so sad. I legit don't smile when listening to this, I just get some feels.
This anime is something that even Movies cant compete........ending is superb ......there are lot of question in end but I found it quite good and bit of sad....that everyone has to forget each other and live with memories but that's what life is about.......Memories...

It's a really beautiful song that manages to be sad while conveying a positive message, it fit the anime really well, but after all I think a lot of people who are afraid of death and can't let go can take something from this song and the anime.

The last shot of the ending on the last episode made me cry so hard, not when Kanade disappeared (though that made me cry to) but when one by one the the members of the SSS start disappearing until the only person left is Otonashi. Whenever I listen to this song, that's all I can think of, and it makes me so sad every time, that I cry just thinking of the last episode.
So the part of the song that plays when ever somebody's hit with something translates to this "I have always walked alone, when I look back everyone is faraway". This strangely suits the scenes it pops in with those lyrics.

i dont know what made me cry the most, the sad/happy ending or the bueaty in the ending. bieng able to accept yourself, and the life you have lived, and that you were you, bieng able to accept all that and fade away with a smile on the face. if anything, i learned something about myself. now im just gonna listen to this and theme of sss, and maybe sit outside for a moment :)
