I’ve been to many nail salons where they ask for you to pay before they apply the final nail colors. I don’t blame them
Thats not a customer, that is a scammer. Should show the scammers face so she can be blacklisted in the community. Put her photo up in every salon.
That would be great, but I don't think they legally can since they are underage....
once the customers decided a particular services, make them pay first before doing anything. That’s all you have to do.
Can't do that, these people are too half @ss about the quality of service they provide to customers. Those shops aren't always sanitary, so you take a chance. Gone are the days of quality workmanship and good work ethics and customer service.
No different than going to the hair salon and they don't give you what you paying for or ruin your hair. Sometimes they have to take the loss.
@@missthang4982 what ever the princess say yeah sure 👍 I never say a hair cut 💇♀️ by the way
I always paid first when I got my nails done in a salon. I would decide what I wanted, pay at the register, get my service, and then tip the tech in cash after...
@@missthang4982but that's actually HOW it works. THEY are legally obligated to fix it for free. At least that's how it is in the United States, I don't know about any other country...
I’ve seen this exact situation before. People are so entitled, they think everything should be free!
America is doomed because we face bad government, bad parenting, poor education, no standards, and zero family values with a capitalist agenda underlying it all, and actually causing a huge portion of why things are the way they are. Everyone thinks that it’s b.s that the rich just keep getting richer by selling you useless crap and keeping small businesses down by selling it so cheap. I hope people realize SOON that cheap isn’t better, and quality and longevity is what we need from our clothes, our food, and everything else. We don’t have craftsmanship in anything anymore, it’s all corporate culture which is a hallow culture without meaning or soul.
You shouldn’t blur their faces. The internet needs to see their face,if not their gonna do it again . Eventually every business is gonna block sketchy people from entering!
Nail Salons can implement a deposit policy for services. The deposit can be a percentage of the full service cost. Times have changed and the scam culture is in full effect. You can no longer render a service on good faith a consumer will pay for it. Honest customers will happily pay a deposit because they understand the concept of business transactions, entitled people want to take. Sorry that this salon's owner experienced this.
Sorry for the shop owners who get scammed 😢 It’s very hard to be a small business no where near the profit some people think you might make.
The salons should just ask that customers make an appointment and pay a deposit before they even get there.
I get what you're saying. But that is making us who are not thieves suffer. Sad times we live live in.
@@boxerblvd3514 Dishonesty is the reason honest people can’t have nice things.
Change the process. Payment upfront 🤷♂️
We have a whole generation of entitled brats. I would bill their credit card for supplies, and then bill them again when the work is done.

most times its cash they dont want to pay high fees for credit card options
Pay for service first or at least an initial holding deposit will become the new norm.
It is time to change the tradition of paying for services afterward. It just doesn't work in today's society. Many people have no shame in ripping you off. All they see is they're getting something for free. And they only care about themselves.
Sickening that you blurred out the theifs faces.
@@noneyabizness Their crimes but most important, their mindsets aren't underage.🤷🏾♀
@@kellywade8275 okay? Like duh? I’m only factually speaking, not getting into the complex issue.
I'm sorry that happened to you and your salon
In south East Asia these thieves would have been taken to jail where they belong.
Teenagers are becoming scamers

Too often these customers see these workers as less thans and try to take advantage of them. Horrible and entitled behavior.
You can't trust anyone nowadays.
She wants people to be held accountable😂😂😂😂good luck Leslie.
We used to call it “Defrauding an Innkeeper” We had morals to keep us out of trouble. Opinions were usually lies
Oh snap, I know that place. Terrible neighborhood.
I’d make them start paying in advance.
There's a certain type of people who do this and once realize who it is, just refuse to serve them.
I can't stand thieves but it's not worth your life. Those women could have been carrying concealed weapons.
Weird! Here in Tx. nail salons make you pay in advance.
This is why I’m by appointment only with credit card confirmation required. People play way too much.
If you order a pizza online and the balance comes out to more than 20, you need to pay in advance before your order is complete, and that’s a pizza place. I think nail places need to start taking payment before the service. That’s just my opinion.
I don't know about you guys but I'm noticing most of these are under 40 . A result of total absence of any parenting whatsoever . There was a thing we called consequences. You're a good boy you get an ice cream cone you're a bad boy you sit in the corner. You never use violence or hit . This is beyond appalling and frightening
Never take hard working people for granted.
I love Nikki s clear and active voice, tone, and attitude! To me, non native, it is nice to listen and understand
Her privacy??? Hell you said her name and where she works!!!
I've had my nails done plenty of times where they came out terrible. I did pay them but didn't return. It does make you mad because it's expensive. I started doing my own nails because I can get at least 20 manicures out of a single bottle of nail polish.
LESSON: do not serve anyone under 40 until you receive payment!!
Cops arrive and immediately tells owner she was wrong smh
@@lifeisbeautiful7452 It was the day before my birthday went to get my nails done but they put me with someone inexperienced and I immediately told them I’m going somewhere else. They locked me in and called the cops, demanding I pay for the full manicure and pedicure. There was only one problem, I never received it. I sat down and the technician splashed water on my feet in a way like she was being forced to do a task that she did not want to do, like she was grossed out. She did 3 motions towards my feet and it was such a turn off. I got up and told the lady at the front who spoke English. When I paid for the full service even though I had nothing started nor completed, they took the money and kept the door locked citing they were waiting for the police. I didn’t have time as the next day was my birthday and I had plans, so I was trying to catch the next Nail spot and they were delaying me. I eventually got let out because the customers got involved and said that what they were doing was not right. I walked out of there a changed woman in my twenties and have never returned to another nail spa ever since that day. I can never forget how a small business treated me as a customer, with no regard for performing a service in order to get paid. The most important thing I took away was how vulnerable I was dealing with a small business, where customer service issues are not addressed. It simply didn’t matter to them, there is no recourse if the customer is not satisfied at any point in the transaction.
At the least, they should receive a 50% up front deposit …people are ridiculous
These Asian people talk about customers in Chinese and talk about them and smile and say you like it😂😂😂😂
My nail tech takes a deposit, then takes the full payment when she starts to polish/design the nails to finish the set. when your done drying your nail under the lamp you go bc you paid, no digging in your purse or trying to settle the bill. Leslie needs to get smart or she will continue to get scam.
Show the scammers face so other nail techs can be warned. You know its not their first time
Sad
teenagers not raised with dignity and respect
WoW
Stone cold
and greedy
Make them pay upfront. Forget about the traditional way.
IDENTIFY the suspects! You are enabling their behaviors.
That women should be arrested for locking people in that place, it's against the law. Stay out of there
$63 for a manicure is ridiculous. As a nail tech, after doing 2-3 nails or a full hand, you should ask the customer if they like how their nails look so far. If they say no, let the customer decide if they want to choose another color/design or stop the service all together. If they say yes, collect the full payment of the service from the customer and then finish the other hand. Do the same with pedicures. This may break up your flow, but it will prevent the customer for skipping out on paying the bill for the services you provided.
Back in the 70s and earlier you were able to fill up the gas tank before paying for the gas. Too much gas theft so now its prepay only.
The same should apply to anything nowadays. Its always prepay or put a hold on a credit card untill payment like rental car companies do.
I remember it was like that in the 90's when I worked at a gas station. Back then a few repeat customers were filling up and pulling off the manager back then already told us what cars to look for and sure enough same gas theives on my overnight shift like clockwork.
No description = obvious
Pay FIRST
It’s time for a deposit up front from each and everyone that wants to make a nail appointment and if you cancel your appointment you don’t get you deposit back that’s all change your policy and they won’t have no choice let them play with somebody else’s money 🙏🏿💪🏿👊🏿
Make them pay first.
Make them pay first .... PERIOD!
Yes, Pay First Do Work After it's Been Paid!!! Why do Salons want to act like Denny's, Eat First Pay Later, Denny's shouldn't be Doing that Either!!!
Send those kids to prison
This is so sad 😢I do my own nails or else I’d start coming to this lady. She seems really kind ❤
Charge first!!! People who won’t run will understand and people who will run, you won’t have to deal with!
I stopped getting my nails done after the lady doing my nails clearly said something about me to the other ladies in their language. I felt so uncomfortable but remained respectful. Paid up and left
No one should be scammed of their wages for any reason
Ridiculous. The entitlement of these customers who refuse to oay is unreal.
It's better to ask the payment first then later on having problems with the customers not paying at all. N also you'll know if that person has money or not
Drama at a nail salon??? Say it aint so 😂😂😂 💅 💄🙀
My friend had the same thing happened to her, so now she asks for the payment in advance
MAKE THEM PAY FIRST !
You should be able to press charges for robberies
this is criminal.
Pay First Now!!! Sorry this is due to people stealing from us!!!
people should pay first for a service from now on
Let all pay before the service
Make them pay first….
Time to prepay for services, to many scammers out there now.
In my line of work the customer pays on pickup but that is reasonable because I possess a computer as collateral. Yes it does allow for markup after the fact if necessary but it also prevents the customer from getting charged more than the bench fee when the problem is not resolvable. I had a couple people try to scam me in the past over parts so I now require customers to purchase the parts that I recommend online, instead of me, that way they deal with delivery and disputes with the retailer. Thus I only charge for the labor and bench fee and since it is all recorded and photographed during the repair it is neigh impossible to win a scam dispute against me. The last time someone tried they called the cops and demanded their finished machine for free: to which I showed the evidence that the work was performed and the cops told them to pay me. I told the cops if anyone acts scammy I will not take card payment: cash only. Cops waited for them to go to an ATM and come back with cash 😂.
If you can afford to have your fingernails manicured, then you don’t need to worry about rising inflation.
How embarrassing for these "customers."
These kids getting out of hand
They can ask for payment first, or at least a deposit.
It’s always the same group of people that does it!
With teenager, they need to ask for payment up front.
That way people don't leave with out payment.
This wouldn’t be a problem if made them pay first for the services. The reason the make them pay after because sub charges can be added
Pay first just like McDonalds.
These kids really need a lesson 😢
Sickening behavior and the people who did this should be held responsible to pay back the owner
Charge money first. McDonald's charges first
Pay first before service. Wtf? If they don't want to pay before... you don't want that customer anyway.
Positively disgraceful. Who raised these thugs?
Pay BEFORE service is rendered.
Can’t for the life of me figure out why the images were blurred and don’t say anything about minors……stop typing
pay before service same as a massage or copayment
happens at restaurants to ,maybe they should ask for ID an write down information before serving customers
Yea u can’t lock them in but u can require deposit
There should be like an upfront deposit then pay the rest after the work is done…
And when they mess up your nails they still want to be paid though!! The majority of people are probably getting tired of this unacceptable behavior from these nail shops. But nobody's talking about that part. I can't tell you how many times I felt ripped off walking out of those places. And when you say something about the problem . They get loud and act crazy to get out of the fact that they did a bad job. 🤦 They ain't the only victims . It goes both ways.
I agree. That has happened to me where they messed up my nails and then they give an attitude 😒 🙄
So there’s a stereotype of nail salon technician.
There’s also stereotype of the people who walk out w/out paying.
When people get used to preferential treatment, equal treatment then seems like discrimination.
The woman who did it was Mexican. Live in Fed Way. Same as the 2 girls who ran out. It's been A LOT of Mexicans here recently. It's crazy.
Police are incorrect about locking the door, either customer must pay or allow shopowner to REMOVE paint, fake nails, etc (anything that was added on), and police are expected to charge patron (or parent/guardian) for theft of services. Shopkeeper is allowed to demand return of all add-ons, and still recoup full service cost (plus add-ons) during criminal sentencing (victim reimbursement), or thru civil action. This is NO diff to homeowner not paying for roof. Police - make a fricking effort.
There is no way anyone would want to remove anything after theft of service.
Collect payment up front. That's the only solution for things like this. It will also solve food theft if restaurants charge upfront for orders, then start a running tab for anything additional.
Leslie, sorry this had happened to you. You may have to collect the fee up front
set appointments and ask for credit card to hold payment in case they don' pay, you can charge.
This is wrong on so many levels.
If anyone wants to be educated, just ask.
Make them pay before the service. No refunds
She had every right to lock the girl in. Police gave bad advice.
Privacy???? You just showed the name of the shop
Dirty teen scammers parents should be ashamed of their kids. 😮
