    Just happened upon this video and it reminded me of sometime in 2009 a coworkers brother was on a solo trip fly fishing around Oregon. On his 3rd day out he didn’t contact his family so they became concerned. As it turned out he had taken a step into a hole and gotten his boot stuck and water filled up his wader.

    Thank you so much. I just got a insulated waders and was constantly worried about slipping. Never heard of a belt to trap the air before. It all makes sense now

    Really good stuff. And ultra realistic. I’ve gone for an unintentional swim in that exact spot. More than once.
    Amazing what a difference the wading belt makes. Thanks Dale for takin* one for the team to bring that safety point home.

    3:20 myth not mystery. And it’s completely untrue. Once your waders fill with water they are no heavier whilst you’re in the water. The problems arise if you try to pull yourself up a bank or into a boat. That’s why you should float down until you get to shallow water.
