Not bad for a $250 saw that was built in a day. That recipe favors a long bar and it shows when you lean on it. If you're going to cut square cookies, raise the exhaust a bit and add another port on the muffler. You'll have the RPM's to run an 8 or 9 pin sprocket. Thanks for the kind words and I wholeheartedly agree about fabz
Richard seems like a sharp guy that can obviously build a great running saw. Dry hardwood isn’t fun to cut at all! Hope the new place works out if that’s what you want to do. Seems like a cool place 👍🏼👍🏼
It's white oak. I spent Saturday cutting a log a bit bigger that that with my 62cc,and smaller stuff. It takes awhile. I would have taken some my bigger saws, but I wasn't planning on getting into anything that big.
Great video, enjoy your work and look forward to seeing more. Question not related to this video but I often wonder how you long term store those saws behind you. I would assume you have a good way, so they start back up when you need them. Any tips?
That man is a real timber faller. Watching someone like him fall trees is like watching an artist. OK, I'm sure that there are a lot of good timber fallers out there, and my respect to every one of them.
Why? That wasn’t even relevant to the video.. wtf???? It’s a guy cutting hardwood to compare saws. Sorry seems like a strange comment on bodies video. Oh wait!! Bodie is a novice lumberjack that builds saws for fun. ………. Crickets
Good content like usual my man! No matter what you do the TH-cam chainsaw enthusiast community be like "I've got a Stihl Mcculloch 985 I converted into a concrete saw that was the first ported most powerfullest little big bar that my Uncles Grandaddy give me that will win without a muffler mod anyday because I can sharpen and scrape them rakers down that you didn't know how. But hey Love video Body can't not wait to see mores."
395xp never lost rpm in the cut lol could use a couple more swipes on the rakers but then again you take the chance to get a kicker and hard on the saw and you!!! Richard built a hell of a saw but again you could also build a saw to compete I've seen your builds!!!
Keep up the good content and like I’ve said before… don’t be afraid to try shit everyone else says don’t do it. And for the haters…. Go hate somewhere else! The grown men are having fun so go hate on some trans swimmers or someone that gives a shit
Excellent recipe Richard! Boedy I feel it would have been faster with a little more pressure in the begining as soon as you got on the Dawgs she was moving some wood! Great torque... I like those 395s!

Yeah baby! Gotta watch out for those pet-eating immigrants! They're everywhere!
with a chainsaw....
I wasn't expecting that result, kudos to Richard.

Wow! I did not see that coming. Well done Richard. That 592xp is still no slouch but that Holz is a beast.
Now I am impressed. Blue thunder rocks!

That things a beast!

Great job, Rich🫡. Is that running stock holz piston/cylinder or another aftermarket one?
All holtzforma, top to bottom IIRC
That piece of wood is going to make an absolutely beautiful table.
No warming up for big blue?
Good morning great video 😮
Richard does some sweet work as that saws a beast!

Ya numbers don't lie good job Mr flag
Blue thunder was 33 seconds and the Stihl was 41 second's
👍👍👍
Gotta be hard on Chuck.
TH-cam channel Bjarne Butler is a logger that runs a Walkerized 592. It’s a pretty badass saw being run by a true professional.

Well you should stay on his channel but he aint no gosh darn true professional....

Sometimes ill get into a real dry locust and think i rocked the saw, it just doesnt seem to cut. Move on to something else and it cuts just fine.
You cut out with the blue saw so it wasn't a fair comparison.
What are you even talking about?
