Only in the case of canola! The canola is cut down and laid in rows to dry out (summers in these regions are too short thats why we have cut it done) After a few weeks the canola is ready to reap with the header. In this case, the 'pick-up' is collecting the canola rows and feeding them into the header.
hell, if your a fast learner you can do it. i started on a 850 massey combine when i was 11, moved up to drivin truck at 13, seeding at 15. now i do it all haha
I like the quadtrac, I know a farmer in NC but he doesn't farm on this scale, anymore, he used to have a john deere like that quadtrac but he traded that for two smaller case tractors and he only has 1600 acres
good idea using the dump truck to unload the combine, the guy I know uses a tractor trailer and he always gets it stuck because of the psi on the ground
Man, for us in Belgium, that is just unimmaginable. Here a big farm has about 100 ha = 247 acres :-/ There are some that have more but a lot more that have less :-)
the local colony here has 12,000 acre & use 5 combines,3 jd swathers, 2 semi tractor's with hopper bottom trailer's & a grain cart. When they seed they have 2 large cat mt's with jd air seeder's & 2 more smaller cat's with harrows. It amaze's me you can work 7500 with that little equipment.
Sorry to leave so many comments, but how much does the quadtrac weigh, I just want to see what it is proportionally , I jus have a small john deere 4510
The machines run day and night, you eat while driving, you sleep if somebody else is available to take over and you do pretty much everything else on the fly...
Brilliant video. You really showed the in's and out's of the harvest season (maintenance, setting up equipment, etc).
👍👍👍

Great video! There is a lot of money in equipment there. Course, 7500 acres is a lot of land almost 12 square miles by my count.

which is better quality ... the American wheat or the Canadian wheat ???
I would say that you can not clearly differentiate it in order to make a clear statement. It all depends...

7500 acres

7:46 LADY in HARVESTER !!!!
How much acres your farm have ?
What is that industrial music early in the video?
hey what tarp system are you guys using on your combines?
How can i come and Work at your farm, im from Denmark
9.0 L tractor?
It would be nice to hear the sound of the machinery instead of that music. Planting wheat and rock music do not mix.
try this video, one of mine that doesn't have music. Check it out canada harvest 2010 - michaelsen farm - no music
+brian zybura I totally agree ...most wreck their videos with pointless music

What I don't get is how some people manage those farms that are forty thousand acres, I saw one for sale, I was just dumbfounded
I SUGGEST A RED COMBINE TO REPLACE THOSE TWO GOOD CHOICE ON THE SEEDER THOW
Are you Guy's close to Regina?

А можно к Вам поехать работать на ферму из России ???

that's not the problem, no family has a farm lol.
shit looks like theres a lot of farmin around there.
Call me crazy, but it would of been nice to hear the machines instead of the gay music.
