Join Boating on the Hudson Magazine for a tour of the Boston Whaler factory in Edgewater, Florida. See how Whalers are made and why their reputation for quality and value has remained intact for so many years.
This video from a major company tells me a lot about the quality they represent. It’s no wonder they aren’t the boat the use to be. I’ll continue to shop....thanks
I own a Boston Whaler and I love it, but I always thought that hand laid glass matt built a better boat than a chop gun. Mine is a 1983 Montauk 17 in excellent shape. I wonder if they were hand laid back then. Any Boston whaler historians out there who can tell me if an 83 was built with a chop gun or hand laid?
What is the difference between Boston whaler and a key West construction? key West got a boat and cut it in half too and there's floated so what's the difference exactly. Are Boston whalers really any more safe than a key West? do they really ride that much better out in the rough Waters? What's the scientific difference please I'm asking? No one has been able to tell me yet.
I had several. None finer. Different sure but none finer. Only limit I see is like Raytheon and mercury or take a walk. Both are good but it does take away personal choices. Even the smaller boats are built first class. No skimping ever!

The guy holding the microphone looks like Neil deGrasse Tyson, and the audio sounds like it was recorded in outer space.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 “…….Boston, we’re launching in T-10………”
Wood??
microphone in a bucket! Great boats though!

0:17 weird fake meeting.
Nice external microphone, sounds like crap!
It was very hard to hear, every other video I've seen uses pin on mikes way better sound...
Just a guess but the awful slap back echo sounds like maybe they somehow combined the camera and remote mic.
Chop fiberglas is not as good as hand laid fiberglass. Also, wood should not be in today's boats ever.
snore...
