Thank you for breaking it on down without all the fanfare. Just the meat and potatoes. You know I'd listened to Firefall all my life, and since I was a young rocker, relegated them to mushy love songs (although I did have a cassette of their greatest hits and heard it many times on a long travel since it was the only tape I had). I've grown to find their genius much more inspiring nowadays. I felt the same about Jeff Lynne and ELO back then, but now I've learned almost every song of his. Richard Tandy was a great keyboardist. If you get a chance, check out his solo at the end of One Summer Dream from the Zoom tour. Mesmerizing. The whole concert for that matter.
Geez Dave. Just (insert expletive here)ing AWESOME!!! I caught a buzz just from listening to the lesson - I haven’t even picked up my guitar yet! Gracias. Muchas gracias, amigo.
nice one Dave☕🚛😎 kind of takes that classic Bob Seger still the same/ Eagles Best of My Love sorta hammer on one cord from C to Cmajor 7 style. ever get the urge to do some more firefall you should do Cinderella God I love that song. Firefall Rick Roberts & the gang such an underrated band there is so much good stuff you don't get on the radio just from two great albums a title and Elan. aeesome firefall Tunes people should TH-cam and check-out Mexico, sweet and sour, looking at you, also one of my favorites simply called so long..
Yeah I love Firefall. Interesting about the Eagles Best of My Love. The second chord in the song on guitar is an Fmaj7 while the bass plays a low D. This makes the chord a Dm9 which I see sometimes charted in chord charts however the guitar is clearly playing the Fmaj7.
Any chance you can make a video of Firefall's Sweet and Sour ?That sounds like it would be a fun song to play , plus I like it too . Thanks for this lesson I have a special connection with this song
Hey Dave, I loved your tutorial! My dad loves this song so I wanted to play it for him. Do you think you could tell me strum pattern? I’m trying to figure it out but I keep on messing up. For the chorus and the verse
Great video. Thanks. Quick question (dumb one), does keeping the capo above the nut pull the guitar out of tune slightly? Thanks for all of your great work. Brian
@@DavesGuitarChannel at 3:21 you show the chorus and play a G It looks like your pinky is at the E ring finger on E but i cant tell if if your middl finger hits the A
Ok thanks, that's a G. Ring finger on the 3rd fret 6th string. 5th string is muted by the ring finger. Open 4th, open third, open 2nd, pink on the 3rd fret high E string.
Thanks for another great video - great song with great instructions.
im in a cover band in L.A. 50 songs in 3 weeks you saved my life Thank You

Thank You!!
Thank you for doing this and being accurate!!!
Sweet!
I always wanted to seguey this with Overkill by Men at Work because the ending sax lick of this song would lead right into it.
And yes, I dig it!
Great video. Thanks. Quick question (dumb one), does keeping the capo above the nut pull the guitar out of tune slightly? Thanks for all of your great work. Brian
No because the tension i have on it is next to nil.
Jock Bartley was so underrated!
Nice...
Thanks ✅🆒

Why?
The G6?
