Reinforce is the squidward of the platchat universe. When you first start watching you think "this guys pretty down on a lot of shit..". Then you sloooowly being to agree that rascal is criminally underrated and suddenly you're a boomed Reinforce too.
right now? Could 100% see it. however I think either Shock or Dragons, one or the other will wake up now (or their coaches will make them because Crusty and Moon are arguably some of the best coaches) and make it there this year
considering this is the first year that opening weekend has been both a fully online event AND split between APAC and NA i thought the viewership was pretty good. the hype around this season is real
The control maps that shock lost recently makes me feel deep in my soul that it’s due to moth, moths tempo for the team on shock was so important, like the egg in the cake that is the shock
I know a lot of people are doubting Glads after this weekend but they have a lot of new pieces to fit together. I think people unfairly assumed that they would get them to fit immediately. If they can utilize Moth properly with this lineup and get their shit together, they are going to be really scary. I really want Glads to win the championships for Moth to get that third win. I think he keeps getting slighted for MVP just because he is a main healer.

It's interesting to see how the player rankings system develops, but I don't think it will really be valuable to compare player skill for a long time. It will probably be quite difficult to separate team performance from player skill, which will be important if they want to rank 'players'. Players on top teams should end up higher on the rankings as top teams tend to have better players, however, the current system seems to heavily underrate good/great players on bad teams. To truly rank player skill, value, impact, etc. they would have to somehow account for how the rest of the team is influencing each player's statistics.
Gladiators is supposed to be this hyper agro team. But I feel as if Glads are trying to sprint before they can walk. In my opinion, I think they need to learn how to play slow before they can play at the tempo they desire.

Losing Moth was the biggest mistake Shock did. He is the best main support player in the league, he somehow manages to the right thing every single time, and his vocalization probably won them a lot of games.
I thought that Houston had a chance to win because I expected Shock to put their effort into prepping for the Gladiators because you don’t want to start back to back seasons with a loss to LA but the Shock do drop an occasional march and then come back and just pound, so I figured there was a chance this was going to be that match
Although Pelican's tracer is lacking I think he is one of the best Mei players in the league so far. His walls are so well placed they almost act as peel for both the backline and the tanks whilst allowing for the rest of the team to rotate. I think most of the teamfights/pushes that Atlanta won with Mei were because of Pelican's wall usage.
My favorite character is the reaper guy. he is very powerfull. special move, honestly is one of the best in the game and so he comes equipped with these two revolvers and only takes about 3 or 4 shots to actually execute a kill so it comes really in handy specially when you come from the side.
Reading through the post match thread about Atlanta vs Mayhem was the highlight of my week. Atlanta fans are all just reaper and genji one tricks who like Atlanta because they liked cool dudes (assholes) like Dafran in season one want their OWL team to act like a low tier frat, and every year they get hyped up for some new DPS players forgetting that their team is gonna be shit for another year if all their players have massive egos an 0 teamplay. Mayhem connoisseurs are the exact opposite, they recognize good, slept on players who work hard and play well, and they don't eat up scrimbux like a squirrel when it gets into a birdfeeder. Nothing brings more joy to my heart than watching Atlanta fans OD on copium trying to deny that their team of douchebags is gonna be a gatekeeper for another year.
I do actually see a world where Dallas beats Washington like they beat the Glads. I think every map will be so disgustingly close, basically coming down to 1-2 team fights. I think Dallas really has nothing to lose going into these games because they’re down a hitscan player and I think a lot of the top tier teams think they can just steamroll them with individual skill. there's a clip from super watching the glads play vs dallas on anubis, and he notices Space gets staggered a bit on Dva twice... and instead of dying as mini Dva or earning a re-mech, he goes into spawn and swaps to get his mech back. but both times, he had self-destruct ult, that he then loses by swapping to get mech back. how much of an error is that? was the faster re-mech worth it, or did Space maybe overlook his ult charge, and wouldve kept it, if he realized?

Jonny needs to put some respect on Sparkle's Tracer, he was goods in the duel and with more practice, he will be too good. I knew Toronto was going to be better than what people were predicting and I will agree with Avast in that they can hang with Justice. Toronto has 3 star players that are going to improve and they got a good coach. I'm a Philly simp but the Fusion are still stacked with the replacements, Hotba and Tobi are good players that were in bad team systems last year.
I'm glad you guys gave a shoutout to IR15 becuase he popped the fuck off quite a bit and carried a lot of fights for them but I think the biggest concern for Atlanta RIGHT NOW, isnt a tracer specialist, its gator on winston... He looked really good on orisa and rein but once he was winston and ball he was just dead on cooldown. That could've been coordination issues but regardless he was straight inting on more than one occasion

Every single hero got run this weekend for multiple minutes outside of Road Hog (he was played but not for more than like a minute). When has that happened in OWL before? maybe like very beginning of season 1? And who knows if even then Also 100% agree with Avast on ATL....they are just so...meh..in every single department besides DPS. And that is why they actually lost. On top of semi questionable coaches. They just didn't do enough in the off season. On that Dorado map with Houston vs. Shock too, they 100% needed someone else on Tracer I agree, because Jake was living rent free in Glister's head. =/
Atlanta's biggest problem is their coach. Honestly Gator and Hawk are good tanks, and their dps are really good, too. Supports are not the best but still, worst part is their coach.

That Stage 2 loss to Boston as a LAG fan in season 2018 was hard.
Every single hero got run this weekend for multiple minutes outside of Road Hog (he was played but not for more than like a minute). When has that happened in OWL before? maybe like very beginning of season 1? And who knows if even then
Also 100% agree with Avast on ATL....they are just so...meh..in every single department besides DPS. And that is why they actually lost. On top of semi questionable coaches. They just didn't do enough in the off season.
On that Dorado map with Houston vs. Shock too, they 100% needed someone else on Tracer I agree, because Jake was living rent free in Glister's head. =/
Did we actually see Genji? Do kind of wish we could see him more but it's tough. Overall can't complain.
Atlanta's biggest problem is their coach. Honestly Gator and Hawk are good tanks, and their dps are really good, too. Supports are not the best but still, worst part is their coach.

@@BrofUJu I believe Dallas and Valiant ran Genji with Sparkle and Molanran(SP? on name) during some of their matches. (They also ran Bastion, the only team to do so if I'm not mistaken).
