You listen to this song and think "I absolutely love this perennial classic!" and then realise it's actually the first time you've heard it! This could go down as the best song in the history of the World - ever. Raw emotion. Simply cannot wait to see them later this year.
Seen these guys live a few times and this is one of the highlights of the set - the reverence shown from the audience is always amazing; pretty much utter silence amid the tears. Beautiful bass playing from GPB. Utter brilliance
Only just started listening to this band and yet to let me down. What a performance if you are going to let it out DO IT LIKE THAT .Beautiful! He really means it .GOT TO SEE THESE
Lucky people to watch this live at this moment. In years to come the energy can still be great but raw emotion will no doubt diminish. Keep writing great tracks and every year or so when the tour comes round it will always be fresh. Excellent stuff.
this was the last gig i went to before lockdown and corona fully kicked in. probably around a year ago now come to think abt it. those boys were special. i'll never forget that night. seeing these boys pour their hearts out helped me through a tough year. thanks to them all and i wish them the best of help in their future and on a 2nd record
The Murder Capital .....
I'm inclined to agree. I was getting a bit bored of hearing Fontaines everywhere, but they plugged these guys on a KEXP session and I'm glad they did. I am liking them a lot. I think they will do big things.
@@rowanjones7523 that's how i see it. Ive never seen such raw real honest passion from a band in years. I just hope they always stay true to who they are because fame can bite you in the arse... i see it too with them 100%
you would completely have to hope not! Bands like this should be doing everything they can not to play Wembley IMHO .. small, select, intimate venues and lots of record sales creates the legacy .. not the next manufactured pop product which would in these guys case be an enormous tragedy!
@@jheych yeah. That's all good and fine... but it's inevitable. Can't keep doing small shows when your popularity grows huge. Im just hoping this happens with them. And believe me..i prefer the small intimate shows myself. i hope they don't become one of those bands where.... yeah i used to like them. The first album was great.. after that... they changed. But i can't see this happening with them . I think second album will push them into a completely massive level. Im already looking forward to #2!! Ha
@@rowanjones7523 and you should. They are massively talented!!! They are cool people... aside keeping the name tank cause it's a familiar name?. Lol lol ok. Still.. great musicians. Could hang and drink beer all day with them and talk about tank.... you know... with ALGEY. but still hang. Throw in a few darts to poke fun.... and say... Jason Newsted is calling his band Matalika

Ireland is a hotspot for class acts at the moment. Love these guys and their poetic lyrics.

incredibly powerful performance
superb
People who have given this a thumbs down are clueless! 🙄🙄
this performance is actually the version that's on the album !!
Is it really? That’s awesome. How’d you find that out?
Digne des maîtres du genre, Joy division, radiohead
Anybody else just listening to great live stuff on youtube while the live scene is dead?????
wow
:’)
This
I like the song but this feels a little bit too much on the nose
What does that mean
On Twisted Grounds, that's the title
Great band but they need to get rid of that lead singer..he hasn't a note in his head he's awful..they could be really great
Yeah you should be the frontman instead
