- VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) is a safe and effective option for many women who have had a previous cesarean delivery, provided they meet specific medical criteria. Here's some detailed information about VBAC facilities and what to look for:
Key Considerations for VBAC Facilities
1. **Experienced Obstetricians**: The facility should have doctors experienced in managing VBAC cases, as they require careful monitoring and expertise.
2. **24/7 Emergency Services**: Since there is a small risk of complications like uterine rupture, the hospital should offer round-the-clock access to operating rooms and an anesthesiologist.
3. **Availability of NICU**: A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) ensures the baby can receive immediate care if needed.
4. **Continuous Fetal Monitoring**: VBAC facilities must have equipment for continuous fetal monitoring during labor to quickly identify and manage potential complications.
5. **Informed Consent Process**: Look for facilities that offer comprehensive counseling to help you understand the risks and benefits of VBAC.
6. **Supportive Environment**: Facilities that encourage natural birthing methods (e.g., birthing balls, water birthing tubs) can make the VBAC experience more comfortable.
Questions to Ask the Facility
Does the hospital have a VBAC success rate they can share?
What are the protocols in case of complications during labor?
How are the labor and delivery rooms equipped for VBAC?
Is the staff trained specifically for VBAC cases?
Benefits of Choosing VBAC
Avoiding another major surgery.
Shorter recovery time compared to a C-section.
Lower risk of surgical complications like infections or blood clots.
VBAC Candidate Criteria
Not everyone is a candidate for VBAC. Generally, you may be eligible if:
You have had only one low transverse cesarean section.
The reason for the first cesarean is not recurring.
There are no medical conditions that prevent vaginal delivery.

VBAC than better if your doctor is working as team. 1 doctor cannot do VBAC. Wait till 39+ weeks if no other complications like sugar pressure
Sir.. Im pregnant with twins 25th week running.. My weight 58kg..can i take govt. given pro pl powder.. Pls clarify my doubt sir..i have vaginal pain in left side only..is it normal..thin creamy white discharge..is it normal sir..And also give some health tips for twins for attaining 36 weeks with 2 babies normal weight pls sir.. 😊😊
Congratulations. Pro pl powder is not needed. Twins need eggs, chicken, prawns and mutton sapidallam. Don’t over eat. Urine infection is very common: May be its cause for vaginal pain. Be happy and fearless. Sleep ++ walking ++ exercise 2 days a week. 37+ weeks to normal delivery

Sir plz rply me placenta early matured so early iugr nu soli steroid inj pottadhu.now 35 week completed.normal delivery posible ahh
Steroids injections good: but you can wait for normal delivery. Normal is better than unnecessary caesarean
@wcfchennai thanks for the rply...But doc said placenta in 3 grade so need to fix operation in few weeks
@ no ma’am. Placenta maturity is not good indicator for babies health. You can wait for natural labour pain. Be positive
@@wcfchennai thanks sir
Sir I want visit your hospital sir
It’s our honour! Thank you
Sir, my due is on 7/2/2025 . My placenta is posterior upper. What does that mean? And does it mean the baby position is anterior?
No ma’am. Baby movements early ya theriyum
@ thank you doctor. But baby position anterior ah irundal easy ah deliver agum nu solranga. I dont knw if my baby is anterior or posterior. In case if it’s posterior, does *hands and knee* position help correct its position now? I have on ly 1 day in sha Allah.
@ In sha allah! Anterior and posterior placenta is different from baby head position! Be positive and do exercise regularly. Knee chest exercises are for breech position only- not for others.
@ sir, I’m so happy to say you that I gave birth to a beautiful princess on 6 th Thursday Al hamdu lillah ❤️🙂😊. Thank you so much for all your valuable advice and quick response. Contraction started by 4.00am like menstrual cramp and gradually got stronger . Got admitted at 7.30 am and delivered the baby by 7.45 am 🙂. No episiotomy needed.
Also, I’m from Sri Lanka sir.
