*Makes me never want to use Canada Post*
Nobody is forcing you
@@sirJames8 If you're Canadian then yes you are forced to use Canada post... Its the main mailing service most places and companies use and most don't have other options when purchasing online.
Thanks for the support.
We have no choice. Live in a more northern town and you have to. Canada post is vital to all northern communities. I had to cancel all my stuff a while ago.
@@sirJames8 Ah your one of "them". Don't use CP for the express purpose it was created for. Brilliant solution.
I wonder what Jagmeet will do LOL.. Oh yea make up some excuse and keep supporting Libs that's what ahaha.
All chalked up as racism I'm sure
I was thinking the exact same thing. He's such a rat
just like he told the railroad workers he would stand up to Trudeau even if it was a non confidence vote....but he didnt he wants his pension
That’s exactly what I was thinking too. Lol.
She clearly sucks at her job and should be fired too.
She can't even talk properly mouth full of marbles
wow...that was hard to hear...this person is cluelesssssssss.......!!!!!
I work for CP and I’m glad we were sent back! This strike is a “bread full of nothing”, workers cannot sacrifice our homes and family wellbeing for this never ending strike. Negotiate at the table, not at workers and businesses expense!
then leave a union why are you in a union with that type of mentallity
@ a worker of Canada post cannot work for Canada post without being a member of the union. We cannot chose.
Also we already pay the union to do the job we pay them to do, they had 1 year, yet they couldnt do the job we pay them to do.
Finally, a CPw I respect. 🤜🤛
And don’t hold Christmas hostage!!!! Christmas is ruined for rural Canadians.
every lesson has a price its ok lol
Can’t wait for Jagmeet’s excuse now
he cant risk his pension so late in the game, why do you think he sacrificed our countries economy to keep propping up trudeau
if you don't like it get another job! but stop holding our stuff hostage!
Go with another courier if you can’t stand Canada Post
Yes but orders placed just before the strike are still tied up !!
@@DonnaBelyea r u even canadian? do you understand it's the main source and most of important things like visa and stuff can only be delivered by Canada post

As a thirty year postal worker I support this legislation. We should never have gone on strike.

news reporter lady, you forgot to mention the right of the canadian citizens, the economy, not to be damaged!
Will Jagmeet vote non-confidence now?
Why? Because you want him to? I’m no fan of any leader….but any delay in conservatives demand for an election is definitely worth watching all the crying and moaning…..children
not until he qualifies for his golden pension Feb 2025 then he will turn on the Liberals to try and get some points for the party but NDP and Liberals are all one party now and both will be held accountable on election day

They had longer then that they could have avoided all this a year ago
Was actually 1 year at the table:)
Exactly your goals are unrealistic in these days !
CP Management had over a YEAR to negotiate so...
Should be an essential service. They should have no right to strike. They do it all the time. Is tiring,

Fire the Canada Post managers. They couldn't get the job done. They've had over a year to address this.
So did the Union, negotiating doesn't mean accepting every demands.
What are the rights of all Canadians when you are talking about your rights? Hold all Canadians hostage is just unacceptable, especially during this time of year.

We quit years ago. It has not been more expensive. We actually get out packages, pay bills online, same with all our family and friends. Too many years of the worst service, much worse than every other company, at both our home and business. Life has honestly been so much less stressful by quitting CP. It has been about 7 years. Highly recommend.
@gayanjayaratne5306 then don’t! Do you think you’ll make a dent? lol
If you have the money to burn when you use ups or FedEx go for it. I’m sure you’ll opt to use canada post if you do the comparison. lol
Lmao back to work... release the hostages now, our parcels!!
CUPW and Canada Post should both be ashamed of themselves. You both have had four weeks to hold Canadians hostage, enough is enough. Time to end this madness with no end in sight.
You're fired, Jan
Now what Jughead?
Don't worry, just ask NDP Jagmeet Singh to support you. Everyone should go to all the press conferences to ask NDP Jagmeet Singh to vote non-confidence because he said so.

well they did have a right to strike. 4 weeks is long enough to make a deal. Im more happy that the workers being financially destroyed by the union can finally get back to work and maybe salvage there Christmas after all
What about the year BEFORE the strike when management had every opportunity to prevent the strike?
We are not being financially destroyed by the union lol. We ARE the union.
You all had enough time go back to work.
Other workers have rights too! Postal workers jobs aren't the only ones that matter. The strike has caused approximately $25,000+(for every postal worker) worth of damage to our economy, collectively. How is that okay? There's a reason it's illegal in the USA to halt mail!!!

A lot of CP workers wanted to come back to work.
*What about the rights of Canadians to the services they pay for !?!*
You can do that , hire a lawyer sue canada post . The judge will laugh at you and so will millions of canadains . Striking is legal and what you are talking about would end striking because workers could never stop working .

The rights of the few are disrupting the lives of the many.
Oh, you're talking about management, right? Those few at the top who are being paid to keep their workers from making a competitive wage or from protecting their health?
No, I'm talking about the union AND the strikers. Enough is enough. They've disrupted mail, parcel and put small businesses out of business just before Christmas.

The $5m in "wages" they talk about include management not just union workers. You have a right to know what you're paying for when you shop at Canada Post so do your own research and chose how you would like to ship your finances.
I challenge you to send a Christmas card with a different company this year and see what that cost looks like.
overpaid, easily replaced workers in an irrelevant business
It's a dying and unprofitable business.
It's supposed to be a public service.
CUPW lost. Jan got her hat handed to her. CUPW failed to read its competition. Employees got nothing and lost a month of wages just before Christmas.
If the company is losing money, there should be no right to strike.
Saw this in a union once - the rep was "I don't care if the company goes under, you're getting your money" - guess what? They did go under under a year after negotiations.
Its a crown corp. The goal is not to make money, but provide a service.
@@jnieuwenhuis8504they are also expected to self-sustaining while they provide that service.
@jnieuwenhuis8504 🤣 They can't lose money- that's unsustainable. They also need to turn a profit to save for harder times too - besides that, if they don't need to turn a profit, why charge anything at all? If the gov takes that approach, its no wonder we're 40-60 Billion in debt...
This woman saying they aren't paid by taxpayers? Pure delusion. Wake up and get back to work!
ummm she is correct by that statement..Canada Post yes..is a Crown corp...but it is not taxpayer funded...this can easily be researched. Canada post employees are paid by the profits canada post makes thru it sales of products and services...no tax payer money at all.
Why are they striking specifically?
I thought they were paid well.
The public should be informed on the details don’t you think?
What are their demands exactly? Thats the news we need to hear.
This! If the union got everything they're asking for, they'd still be paid less than comparable FedEx and UPS workers. There are sources online to find this information, but all the main outlets seem to be interested in is shooting down the workers while hiding the facts.
A great deal of that information has been shared countless times.
@ I’d have to dig, I consider myself fairly informed, more than most.

Should let them stay on strike until they start starving. They’re not going to pay the rent making $50 a day strike pay. A reasonable compromise would be for them to go back to work and clear the backlog since their strike at Christmas time didn’t work out.
Horrible, Singh won't stand up lmfao🇨🇦🧂
This is actually doing the union members a favor. CP definitely has the upper hand at the moment.

There should be no wage increase untill Canada Post is not losing money anymore.
Does that go for management too?
I am a senior female and I don't care if Canada Post ever gets back to work.
How about they just leave the pensions in the hands of the union, the main issue of the strike.
You want the right to retire with dignity ? This enrages me. Your demands for dignity means I am forced to pay for your retirement. My self employed earnings allows for 1 retirement to be paid. These postal workers are asking for a 22% wage increase. Where else in the real world does this actually happen? They are delusional.
They couldn't get a deal done after a year, so it was time
Hey Postal workers, my checks are in your system and I am not getting them anytime soon. My business is going to have to close its doors because you took my money hostage.
Guess who will be held responsible for that. You have rights, but they do not allow you to commit economic terrorism on other Canadians who work hard to build this country.
Don’t like your working conditions? Quit and go do something else. You think our military likes their pay and working conditions? They can’t strike. Neither could the dock workers, rail workers and pilots from public companies when they were legislated back to work.
So stop your pathetic whining and deliver our property, Mail, passports and whatever else you idiots will most likely lose anyway.
