Taro found one in pre-1.9 rsg, Pierre found one playing 1.16 icarus, and draconix found one in 1.16 rsg. The odds of finding one with 8 or more eyes is about 1 in 300,000. While plenty of people have achieved that many total resets, keep in mind the average speedrunner rarely reaches more than a few hundred strongholds in real runs. No more than 8 eyes has ever been found randomly.

When Mojang removed boats breaking, they didn't actually remove it. Just added a new function on top and hoped it would override the old function in all circumstances. Spoiler: It didn't.

@@HBGHighlights ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, tis indeed an ocean ruin - because my screen is very low resolution and Cube said "wait is this the stronghold", I mistook it for the stronghold and so in my mind either he was running 1.18 (kinda weirdchamp, but very possible) or 10 seconds into a new run, with an inventory as empty as the space between my ears, Cube had located the stronghold under his spawn island and somehow in 1.16 his worldspawn was in the ring or his stronghold was 1000s of blocks outside the ring (very weirdchamp - entirely mindblowing) you have disabused me of this notion, and I thank you :D
