Considering you're paying for the 3D printed plastic (which ain't gonna be cheap), the electronic (Arduino boards can get costly), the guy's R&D time (to get the product as it is developed), his time wiring and soldering it FOR YOU, and shipping... it's a fair deal for ONE GUY who is working from home and works with small quantities of stock (tiny relative to folks like Hasbro and Buzz Bee).

It's a fair deal for him. For what you get its not. Regardless of the time and energy, you could get four rapidstrike's or this little gadget. You could get two hyperfires and a stryfe or this thing. You could almost get two mastodons. I get that he works hard on this thing but that's his loss if he can't find a way to sell it cheap. No way any bozo would buy this unless they're rich ah

Or coming this fall you can get the ChronoBarrel from Nerf for about 15 bucks, and it does FPS as well. Hard choice to make there.

Needs a reset button attachment that you can put on the mag release. That'll take care of the extra step to reset it.
They could just have a sensor on the mag well to detect when take out or put in a make and automatically reset.

They should make one for the HALO NERF ASSALT RIFLE. SO the gun can work just like in halo.
I think if someone put this on the regulator long barrel/scope as a scope it would be at it's best cuz it takes nothing from it, it works with full auto and 3 round burst plus the regulator barrel has the little attachment point and it looks the same with it on and off

What people should do with the one you install into your blaster is they should get the one shaped like the Ma5 HUD and then the Boomco. Ma5 so they can install the HUD and then paint it grey for a cosplay

Yes it has slam fire
No the Retaliator is cheaper, easier to reload, and has almost the same ranges.
But the Tristrike attachments are cooler.

Just put one of those on one of the barrel extension add ons. They have rails, and now you've got an ammo counting extension

Btw, I've seen the unassembled kit, I think you might be able to cut some costs and complexity by using a I2C 7seg or 8x8 dot matrix backpack instead of the shift registers and fit all of that onto a smaller Adafruit Trinket. It's almost half the price of the pro mini.
Also, maybe it'd be a good idea to have the counter reset automatically on the first dart fired after 0? Say the user is in 18 dart mode, fires all 18 darts, gets down to 0, swaps mags and then fires again and that makes the counter go from 0 straight to 17. Could be a faster, automated reset in addition to the existing manual reset.

the problem my friend is that Nerf's biggest market is kids, so the average kid doesn't have a job. If an adult has to choose between buying an attachment or a gun as a birthday gift, you can get about 2 or 3 Nerf guns instead of a measly attachment.

Hey coop I got a nerf Slingfire and when modding it I broke it. I'm looking to buy a new gun but don't want to mod it. I have a play group that is competitive but not too competitive. I want my wins to be fun and not have an amazing gun and win every time. I still want to win but I don't want to have too good of a gun so that no one wants to play me because I win every time. My price range is about $25. What gun do you suggest? P.S. Please respond, also could you give me a recommendation at about $35 as well? Also, no extra attachments. P.S.S. you could make this into a video, like a challenge video.

If they added a feature for when the counter reached 0 it automatically resets it would be better but it is 3d printed and it is somewhat hard to do something like this with 3d printing.

Have you tried this with one of your modified rapidstrikes? I followed your mod guide for them so if it works for you it should work for me I suppose, just worried it might shoot a little fast for the counter.

A volt counter for a lipo (or any battery for that matter) would be more useful. Unless you don't belong to the flywheel master race.

What I'd do is have a piece of plastic that can be tightened onto the mag well with a little switch that is tripped as the mag comes out, which then resets the blaster

he coop i got 2 good ideas for nerf streotypes one is the guy who came unprepared like an elite blaster but he took MEGA darts for the elite gun or the guy who uses other guns like boomco or dart zone (*no and i repeat no promotion*) ;D
