    Gatsby is great, but you nailed it's major flaw. Buildtime for large sites. That said, using it is a breeze, you can complete a site in no time, and adding functionality is a cake walk especially with hooks and functional components.
    I would say it should be choice #1 for any freelancer building for local businesses and smaller companies with limited ecommerce needs.
    After that I can think of many reasons why every react app on earth shouldn't be built with Next it gives you everything.
    I tell all new would be devs...learn gatsby, nextjs, and flutter...in that order and you will be potent and competent.

      If you don't need SEO and SSR, I don't see why you can't just go with CRA.
      CRA comes with code splitting, it doesn't have inbuilt routing but creating one via react-router-dom is not that difficult.

    Hi, i have few questions.
    Do you use auth0 so if more users are registered i need to pay?
    CMS si build from scrath or is any paid service?
    Thanks for answer.

    • @leerob
      @leerob  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the course, I'll briefly talk about Auth0 for authentication. That would allow you to create a paywall. For CMS, I'll talk about when you would use a CMS or roll your own and show an example of a blog using MDX. That will be one of the full applications included with the course.
      Hope this helps!

    If we're building mobile apps using React Native, could nextjs be helpful?

    • @leerob
      @leerob  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd say only if you're trying to build a mobile app _and_ a web app and share code between them. For example: github.com/vercel/next.js/tree/canary/examples/with-expo
      But you could also build a web app with Next.js that uses a framework like Capacitor to "work" on mobile: github.com/mlynch/nextjs-tailwind-capacitor

    • @Alan-wl9xi
      @Alan-wl9xi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leerob Hey Lee, thanks so much for this kind reply!
      Really hope you could come up with a new video to give us some intro about mobile app dev using React / Nextjs.
      I'll surely look the pointers you shared, but so far I'm more interested in like React Native app experience, not sure making the web work as mobile app would be good or not.

    • @leerob

      Since then, Next has added support for static-site generation (among other things). The underlying ideas in this video still hold true though. Next has continued to evolve as a "hybrid" framework - supporting CSR, SSR, SSG, and any other three-letter acronym out there! 🤣
