Hi, Dave. I am Venezuela, and I heard about you and your family several years ago. I recently found in the web you and immediately subscribed to your channel. Now, I can see that your mother Yarima and you landed in Orlando, Florida. I lived in Kissimmee. Oh my god, you were so close to me! I would like to say hello to you both, and might have give you a big hug, (I am openly affectionate as almost all Venezuelans are). I actually love your story and love the way you have managed all the events that you have lived through. You have a very brave and pure heart. God Bless you and your family.
Thanks for putting some photos while you are sharing. Very helpful for visual people like me to understand and it complemented to what you are saying. I’ll be waiting for another video on the journey with your Mom from Amazon to US 😊
Hi david, Your mother's story is amazing as a Venezuelan, I feel immense pride to still have our tribe... David could, with your mother, make a blog about how to learn the Yanomami language

Cool can't wait for your book but what's the time frame of this since it took place in 2020 where who knows how much covid-19 was rampant during your travels? When did she leave? Anyway for you to make sure everything is okay after her arrival at home
Que hermosa historia... Real, reciente ... En desarrollo...!!! ES EL VERDADERO ENCUENTRO ENTRE DOS MUNDOS. Saludos y Bendiciones desde Maracaibo Venezuela...

I remember when I was a little child in Venezuela and watched the story of Yamira on tv, and just a few days ago I was wondering about her and her family and I'm really surprised, but I'm glad to know that you're ok.
One of my professors actually told me about this tribe. I remember learning all about them and hearing about your dad. My was at a wonderful Christian University I studied anthropology. He used this example to encourage us to be careful when interacting with other cultures. He said that it's important to understand where you're coming from and that when you're doing research it's important to observe. I'm glad that you and your mom still keep in touch and your family has found connection again.
youre a treasure to your mom's clan...am very happy to see shes back now being with u and their grandchildren hehhehe SHES A GREAT granny for them...God bless u and families

It is a huge change to travel to the US from the Amazon. I hope she had a great time. It had to be very difficult to get a passport and then a visa to come to the US. I was a little girl when in Venezuela they start talking about your mom and dad story. 🥰 the Amazon is beautiful, but very different to what we see her in the US.
David you did a great job hosting your mom! Your a good son. Even if things didn’t all work out as planned and if she ran up the tab 😂 and all the simple things it’s still all out of love for your mom. And if no one else says it, I’m proud of you for all the you do and have done and are still doing for yourself mom and your family. Can’t wait for the documentary!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and ive seen your mom in the museum so many times I never knew it was her. 😯 So Cool!
You are an amazing son, buying her everything she wanted to get for her entire village 😂which is essentially her family but that’s so good you did not tell her NO and she could bring everyone gifts 🎁
Today I heard your story and immediately comes looking for you on TH-cam. I was wondering what being such a beautiful and interesting story how is it that they haven't documented it? Netflix couldn't waste this impressive story that also happened in real life. I admire you for how brave you're to go to Amazona to look for your mother. Also because you're a good son. Send love from Australia. God bless you all.🙏❤️
