The dude to your right with the black and yellow set up was probably pissed watching u catch so many fish lolll. He’s using the wrong set up for that type of fishing.
Man I just got back from the bristol bay salmon season and now I get to watch all your stuff! I got a 32 foot Rawson which I do 4 days trips homer to kodiak. Salmon and halibut. You can hop on no charge! Let me know boss! I love your videos. Favorite on the site!
Do you need a mono top shot on your spinning gear for these types of party boats, and if so, how much? Thanks a lot to anyone who replies, and love your videos, Chris!
Just went fishing on the Jamaica this morning and put over 50 chub Macks in the boat. Skinned/deboned them and grilled them. Went from a blue/grey meat to a flaky white with cooking and is amazing in fish tacos! #nofishistrashfish
@@dylanvanbuskirk926 The Big Jamaica is out of Brielle, and a bonito trip costs 30 for kids, and 65 for adults. A rod rental is 7 dollars for conventional, and 10 for a spinning rod.
Folks questioning whether these fish are good to eat. YES. Delicious. One of my favorites. The problem is that depending where you are on the East coast, different locales call different fish "bonito" which may cause confusion. And, some folks confuse these bonito with albies (false albacore, little tunny, etc.) as they often will school together in the early fall run. Albies are awful, although I have encountered certain recipes which claim to make them better. Clean and fillet these fish ASAP (bleed if you can beforehand). The flesh is pink but cooks into beautiful white meat. They freeze well. Cook em blackened in a pan or with a little teriyaki on the BBQ. You will not be disappointed. As of the chubs, never tried so I defer.
CJP because people give fish away and the Mates on the boat don’t make a lot of money esp. on a trip like he was on where the boat isn’t that packed. People keep the fish and give it to the crew so they can sell them and make money.
have to say, first time I've seen someone get attacked by bonito. love it. I'll be there end of this week, hope they're still around and I'll wear my bonito proof crocs!

Some people depend on this for income and food and some type of fish taste better smaller also there is millions of them I. The ocean they reproduce very fast

I love ur videos man but I gotta say, you shouldn’t be keeping that many bonito in one trip! You are damaging the fishery up and down the entire east coast.
Couple of suggestions; -Replace the treble hook with an inline hook. -To vastly improve the quality of the bonito meat, bleed the fish by pulling the gills out. -Chill your catch in your cooler with a slurry-ice & sea water
Most people use the name bonito when they're actually catching false albacore, which are ass to eat. But these are Atlantic bonito which are totally different
you should do a catch and cook with some of these fish you get.
I second that!
LOL - "Bit by a bonito!" Great videos, Chris! You're the best in my book!
Is this the big Jamaica or Jamaica II? I’ve never caught bonitos before and thinking that I might make a trip

Why some in cooler, some in bucket and some on deck?
