In todays video I am reviewing the newly released Future Quest Mazinger z Figure. This is a Long review and I go very in-depth into the details of this figure. Hi, Jon. I was researching and Future Quest what will do with the Mazinger is to sell a "special color" edition with the Scrander with different paint and the Mazinger with another color tonality. Also I think this new edition is going to bring the Jet Pilder and no Hover pilder.
This is being reissued right now (July 2022). I am truly curious if Future Quest has addressed the loose elbow joint/arm issue or if it will still have the same problem. If I knew it would be fixed, I would totally buy this figure.
I bought it, I received it today and the elbow is different but not better, the elbow snaps off from one side and hangs loose, also the right hand fell off from the wrist (it was glued) but the wrist join won't move, I'm afraid to force it I don't want to break it, do yourself a favor and don't buy it! Unless you can obtain this for no more than $125.00 dollars cause I honestly think that's the worth if it
@@ironman0852 I was fortunate to not have any wrist or hand issues. When you pulled off the elbow/forearm, was the connection to the arm looser afterwards? That's what I'm afraid/concerned about.
Thank you for a very detailed video review. I wasnt sure if I was going to get this Figure initially but after finding out they had an anime version of both Grendizer and Great Mazinger I tracked one down and got it recently. The figure is very nice and has great shelf presence. I also had to end up paying $400 new but after having it now I am happy I got all three. Getter Dragon has been teased.
UPDATE: I spoke with my supplier in Hong Kong to Get my gold eyes face plate exchanged because of the chipped paint and he is reporting to me that all the figures he has are all effected with the paint defects. He's going to contact Future Quest on Monday to find out what the resolution will be. I'll keep you guys posted.

Jon: 1: You have attached the Scrander receiver looking backwards. 2: When using the 'darker eyes' remove the Hover Pilder. Mazinger Z has no 'darker eyes' but they look dark because they are turned off. When Koji lands with the Pilder on Mazinger's head, the eyes turn on and become bright.
Patrick Sacco Hi Patrick! The receiver is correct, this is the only way it is able to fit it, the plastic is curved. And yes, you are correct about the eyes, I just wasn't able to think fast enough in my review haha! Thank you for watching!!!
The darker eyes are actually his off/inactive mode. It seems not many people realize this. They're only there so you could display him with the Pilder off his head. They made the same gimmick for the GX-70 Dynamic Classic Mazinger-Z.

Thank you for a very fine review, and sorry for your disappointment about the false die-cast advertising.
To be honest from my experience with the Evolution Toys/Future Quest, they came up with a very good selection of great characters.
But the production and material are very disappointing. It is a cheap feeling material, with no sense of die-cast at all.

Basically an expanded SRC mold with some SOC accessories and a couple of extras. And poor quality on top of that. Wouldn't day bootleg, since it'officially licensed, but for sure a bad chinese copy. It stays on the shelf as far as I am concerned.

Hello Jon Deak. Note that you present the Mazinger Hover pilder but I have photos of the figure when I was prototype in which they present the Jet Pilder. Did your figure bring the Jet Pilder? Thanks for the information, it seems that the company at the last moment decided not to include the Jet Pilder. It even has a space in the blister for the Jet Pilder. I really like the figure but I will follow your advice and wait for the price to go down. Best regards.

I agreed 100% unfortunately this is way too expensive, quality built is very low, definitely not worth it at all! I cannot return it, otherwise I would! Definitely the worst of my collection due to the price! 1-10
