"Light and Darkness" is way outside my alley musically but after a few listens, it slowly grew on me as I was able to identify several cool aspects of the song. Flawless songwriting and composing on this one, not to mention Su-metal's gorgeous vocals. And that seems to be common for all the new songs. And it's amazing!

Glad to see you're back with more BM songs and enjoying this new BM sound not so many people are getting what is all about, and complaining about not being so heavy and whatnot.
For me L&D is another great pop rock ballad with beautiful SuMetal vocals piercing into our hearts. Love the J-pop sound from 2000 and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound.

This was a world premiere at Makuhari Messe 2023 setlist, along with "THE LEGEND" (it could be the next single), Momoko Okazaki is the third backup dancer performing here and possibly the new official member. Princess MoaMetal once again adding the backing vocals and all of them dancing with the full trio formation, now you have another reason to dance a BM song.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 As an eyewitness of this performance at the venue, I guarantee that the live audio with Kami Band has more power and heaviness to stir your feelings. I assume Amuse is currently releasing MVs with live footage + studio sound, in other words "imperfect live video", on purpose, because they have to block their "real live videos" by copyright strike in order to sell them in a form of Blu-ray/DVD. After some two-year long hiatus, this is a good tool to remind people of the attractiveness of BABYMETAL and gain new fans, I believe.
High and low undulation of Su's voice with maturity and sharp moves by Moa and Momoko disordered my emotions 😱. Although I was too mesmerized to digest everything at the live debut, I finally grasped its artistry as a whole by this MV. I am looking forward to seeing the live performance of this song again in two-day shows on both April 1/2, yes I have the tickets ヽ(^o^)丿
excellent content dude, BABYMETAL is an awesome cure for depression, I haven't been depressed since I found them in 2016.
Su is the queen and her voice is beautiful and powerful. Moa is the princess and her voice is pure joy. I adore these young ladies. 🤘🦊🤘
Word is there will be a 3rd official member again. My money is on Momoko as she has been the only Avenger for the last 30 shows or so and just learned all the new choreography for this show as well.

Before BABYMETAL begin's their tour with SABATON, and LORDI. They will have one more concert in JAPAN on April 1st and the 2nd. They will announce the official 3rd member to their band.
Great reaction. This is definitely a song that leans a long way towards the pop end of the BABYMETAL sliding scale, further than most I'd say. However, this was the studio audio and I have read the live version is ... different. We can only wait for the DVD to hear the live audio and see how much different of course.
This album, concept aside, is highlighting Su-metal's vocals more than anything and possibly more than has been the case in the previous albums - they each had maybe three or four songs that really did that, this one so far every song has done it.
There will be one more song released before the album ... I am guessing it will be 'The Legend'.

When they play live again on April 1st and 2nd they will reveal who the permanent 3rd member will be,so they will be a trio again. The popular opinion is that it's going to be Momoko the Avenger who's been with them the last few years,the only way it may not be her would be if Yui were to return but that's not likely to happen. Either way they probably would not bring on a total unknown, it'll probably be someone the fans are familiar with, an SG girl would be my guess. One thing for sure is that whoever it is the reveal is going to be a total spectacle 🦊🤘

Perhaps it is time for fans to finally be prepared for SU's graduation as the composition focuses on vocals... If this is a series to the birth of a diva named Suzuka Nakamoto, the band and the chorus will all be for her alone...
I think I became a fan of Babymetal on the same time scale as you. Since december. I've never been this excited for a release before... I don't understand it.

BABYMETAL goes in a different direction - unfortunately, it is backwards. It’s an okay song for the sheeple, but to me, this is another disappointing song from BABYMETAL’s new album. Where's the metal? Where's the kawaii? Where's the mosh'sh pits? Where's the crowd participation? WHERE'S THE FUN? BABYMETAL made metal fun - not any more. Now they are just another metal band, and I seriously wonder if calling them "metal" is accurate.
Now don't get me wrong: I love BABYMETAL. I will be the first to say that Suzuka Nakamoto has a wonderful voice but, aside from that, I'm very disappointed with the direction that BABYMETAL has taken. Their first two albums and most of their third made metal music fun. But they aren't "BABYMETAL-ish" any more. They've devolved into a J-pop band. Aside from "Divine Attack", there's nothing metal or kawaii about them so far. And being kawaii and metal was what made BABYMETAL BABYMETAL! It's seems to me that they're trying too hard to make "epic" music when they need to get back to what made them great: songs that made you bang your head with a big, sh*t-eating grin on your face.
Finally, thus far, I get the feeling that this shouldn't have been a BABYMETAL album; it should have been a Suzuka Nakamoto solo album featuring Moa Kikuchi. But that probably wouldn't have sold as many albums.
