AGHHHHHHH SUCH NOSTALGIA!!! THIS BROUGHT UP THE FEELS AS SOON AS IT STARTED PLAYING. HIT ME IN AN INSTANT. THIS GAME DEFINITELY TOOK UP A HUUUUGE AMOUNT OF MY CHILDHOOD.
BARogueAssassin my comment has a point, the game is epic, imagine you playing this game on ps3 and ps4 and online, it could be very fun, hate comments are irrelevant
Pumpkin King spam always made it a foregone conclusion that you would win lol. Since every turn they were out they'd buff their own attack and defense by however many you already had out, they'd rapidly attain godmode.
"Amidst the dark intrigue of Medieval Europe, the *descendants* of Yugi and Seto clash again!" Holy crap. So Yugioh is set in some undetermined date between the time of Pharaoh Atem and the War of the Roses. Truly the deepest lore.
I wish I could get the sound effects for this game. While listening I can just hear the sounds of discarding stuff in your hand (Ba-dump! Ba-Dump! Whirrrrrrr! Ba-Dump!), flipping cards for battle (Brroooi!), the battle sounds (Pi-chi-chi! Pi-Chi-Chi!), and sounds like that Solomon's Lawbook one (aaaaaah~ broi, broi broi broi broi PACHAA!)
this brings back so many memories from when i was little. my step dad would play this game so much that we would still here this even when the game wasn't on
My first deck was a winged beast deck. I sided with the Yorkists initially and it served me well. Once I had beaten that story line, I proceeded to side with the Lancastrians. Weevil gave me tons of trouble, so I decided I needed a new deck. My solution: spam battle Keith until I had enough cards to build an overpowered machine deck with a touch of winged beast. After that, it gradually shifted to an immortal/machine/winged beast deck. It was quite the misfit but was great. Oh the memories :)
Oh jeez. I remember having trouble with Mai when I had my winged beast deck only because she kept souping up her harpy ladies. Bones would have sucked, but my deck cost when I moved on to the Lancastrians was already low enough too battle him with ease. I remember how much trouble I had with Bakura because not only did he had a low deck cost (the reason I was able to beat bones was I never fixed my deck after that), but also because his leader regenerated, AND there were so many crush spaces.
I've been planning for a while now to make a real life adaptation. The unfortunate thing is that it would likely be played less than real YuGiOh among my friends because of how much more time the Duelist of the Roses duels can be.
Oh yeah, even though I struggled with Darkness ruler, the two that probably gave me the most frustrations were probably Pegasus and Bandit Keith. I mean a lot of times I just get plain overpowered by Keith's monsters while Pegasis and his Toon terrain just weakened me pretty bad even if I manage to sneak in a field card.
Yeah, even though the Winged-Beast deck was my most successful one, my favorite was probably the Fiend deck. I sided with the Yorkists first as well, Mai was pretty impossible for me to beat with the deck I had and I think I gave up at the time. Later though when I did the fiend deck I sided with Lancastrians and had a pretty fun time crushing everyone. When I got to Darkness ruler though, I was pretty annoyed with his constant traps and overwhelming power. Bones was a pain because of the DC.
storytsunami the darkness ruler is easy well... for me atleast. I use the cards that aren't op and waste all his traps and use 3 magic jammers but I save 1 because I wait till all the decoy cards I have are gone then when he places down max cards I use dark hole 😈 Then I set up the great moth and start over whelming him with my powerful monsters and terrain changes.
For those of you who have played this game before, what was your first deck? Funnily enough I chose the Fairy deck first but I didn't really get far in this game till I had the Winged Beast Deck.
Yea. Yugi is pretty easy. Unless you don't anticipate his mirror force. I beat Seto on my first try too (thank god for the meteor black dragon). I got a decent lead on him, so he boxed himself in. I didn't want to risk setting off a trap and screwing myself over, so I just won by the turn rule. I always hated using the turn rule to win, but against the Yorkists, it was kind of inevitable because of how many traps they use.
the developers of this game got to make it for PC and PS4 too! it's too good game to not continue making series of this! it's abortion! it's blasphemy agaist what's good! It's developers have to make it for PS4 and PC new series of it too!
Eh, the real game LOOKS complicated, but in the end it always comes down to "who can spam the most cards on turn 1" wins. Which is why I can't stand it anymore :P Also this game was AMAZING, wish actual YuGiOh played something like this
I loved this game so much. Not ONLY for it's gameplay, but for the beautiful music as well.

BDNeon well its good until your opponent can make the great moth lol but if you have both then gg xD
This song is so sick, it's like a hip-hop beethoven
"Amidst the dark intrigue of Medieval Europe, the *descendants* of Yugi and Seto clash again!"
Holy crap. So Yugioh is set in some undetermined date between the time of Pharaoh Atem and the War of the Roses. Truly the deepest lore.
Actually, it's means the descendants of Atem. He wasn't known as Atem back then until 2004 when the last season aired.

Anyone got the OST of the Forest Theme, Like when you're in a forest tile and you start a battle.
this deserves more views. I don't know why, it just does.

Sounds like Royal hip hop music from London gg.
Thanks Man ;D
I agree! one of the best yugioh games too
My favorite song from my favorite PS2 game
I was awful at this game, absolutely dreadful in fact. Though I enjoyed it very much!

one of the best themes of the game uwu love it

This is medicinal

Anyone notice how this song sounds familiar to Castlvaina Symphony of the Nights Library theme. Wood Carving Partita? Not the same song just similar?

storytsunami I chose The Illusory Gentleman. Seemed to do really good for me atleast
The easy route , in life and in the game.
Que regrese el tiempo a 2015 porfa

Classical music. Try Bach. The instrument is Cembalo
what's this music type called?
any similar music (without singer)
Sorry, AceConquererChampion, but the Memories were too Forbidden.
Yeah, funnily enough though, when I ended up facing off with Yugi near the end of the game I beat him pretty easily.
