      That's the internet for you sometimes people just try to find fault. Other times people misinterpret what they see from a video clip and are not aware of full facts.

    Shimano multiplier lever or star drag very smooth and reliable.
    They tend to be a bit pricier but you gat what you pay for.

    I have enjoyed your fishing trips for many years now. Much better now you have company in the boat. Not to add to your editing work but, it would be good if you could add a month caption onto your past clips, just as a mater of interest. Thank you both for your enjoyment. When are you starting to work on the boat for this summer’s adventures.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      Usually once the boat's out the water the boat videos will start from spring and carry through to autumn till the boat goes back in the water in spring. Right now we are in late summer and soon it will be the autumn videos. I would rather not date some of my videos for various reasons one being in respect to other fishermen who fish in the same areas. Boat will be worked on in a couple of weeks time weather permitting.

    I worked in a bait and tackle shop for 23 years . we were a Penn warranty station. The diawa conventional reels and the B G Daiwa spin reels are bullet proof . the old Penn's are the best , but too slow

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I was using the old Penn reels up until a couple of years ago they were very good

    Hi troj, I really enjoyed the video. Keep them coming. Have you ever tried a netting entrance instead of the pot type? I just wondered if It would be better

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I have tried them not so keen on them. Having said that I will be trialing a pot this year with the addition of those kinds of entrances but done in a different way.

    I have a bunch of Shimano reels and a few Penn’s. I like my Shimano’s more. I have some that are 20 years old and still work great. I have cheaper ones to the stradic ones. Sedona, Sahara, Spheros and Stradic. All spinning reels because of the birds nest that come built in the bait cast reels. lol Amazon has a KastKing Rover Round Baitcasting Reel highly rated and 75 US dollars with 10% off. Can you find some old ambassador reels? They were great reels when I was a kid. My family loved them. Grandpa, grandma and my mom and dad had them. I don’t know if they still make them.

    How does a crab eat with no claws?

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of the time they only use their claws for defence and crushing when feeding they mainly use their legs same as lobster.

    • @aib0160
      @aib0160 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Trojwaterman I never knew that, I knew the lobster did that but its front legs have little pincers on them that they can hold food with.

    Troy if I were to take a guess on the best reels then I would have to say that any Made In Japan brand name reels that are going to be a little pricey, these will be your best shot for quality & performance as everything including the named brands you're used to buying all are made in China. The brand named companies all get their stock made in China at the cheapest price so that they can still sell their goods at the higher price but the quality & performance is shocking nowadays.

    • @Trojwaterman
