You may never see this, but 10 years later, I have returned to say: thank you. This album managed to help me through some really tough times. I have a tattoo in my chest for the line that hit me the most: “If you wish to know peace, you must come to know pain”. Now, after all this time, I still come back for this song to learn something new. This is how deep your music is.

Here's the lyrics for anyone wondering:
Dogma looks but never peers through the smog
So in the clear will appear that black swan
To trap love you must wade through the fog
But try to grab it once you have it then it's gone
Now some never see beyond these walls
And some never see those worms that crawl
But mind your step or you will trip on pride's fall
Trust no man if his head above all
Stance still like the world on pause
Eased breath of a wind pre-storm
Firm grasp, let the blade conform
    Manifest thy will, transform
    Become sword unsheathed, cut raw
Become myth turned life, real lore
Meet the rage on the field of war
But never drink of the blood that pours
Look upon ruin and behold these ways
When you remove that leash then you'll end the dog days
Only by hand can you turn that page
Only keys of integrity unlock that cage
If you swim in foul play you will live among plague
If you cut a man's spirit he will bleed just the same
When you linger in the desert don't expect to find rain
And if you wish to know peace you must come to know pain
Every pioneer leaves a home of the brave
Every last deed has a seed that remains
And with every backlash some are shocked and afraid
But you will never see the light if you refuse to leave shade
This that jewel of the master
Steady wins the race though impatience run it faster
Turn to face the dragon as it brews your disaster
Ride upon it's back breathing flames with a rapture
In this world only victory or capture
Never sleep until that Reaper come and snatch ya
And you can't starve with a belly full of laughter
Learn to take risk so reward can come after
We all the same but aint no two of us alike
And when push come to show you abstain from the fight
Receive the match of life but then decline to ignite
That's what the sage calls the wrong of two rights
So live or die, choose the former or the latter
Walk that tight rope but don't fall to the flatter
Hit 'em with the truth and that body gone shatter
I call that mind over matter
Real talk, this aint the rhyming of a rapper
It's expression of my heart but all these people got it backwards
Jam me in a box but I don't fit inside your pattern
Maybe now they'll get the message when these lyrics gone and slapped 'em
So pay attention to the key of my tone
I can lend a hand but I can't save your soul
And if you want a leader you should lead yourself home
I call my own shots, I won't sit in your throne.

      BrysontheGhost Gaming
I believe that means that when you are given the opportunity to ignite your life and therefore your drive and ambition but decline to, you hurt yourself by preventing yourself from becoming greater. The reason why it’s the wrong of two rights imo is that when you search for the match you are already consumed by something and when you decline to ignite it then you possibly destroy what drove you in the first place. This is all a guess, this is definitely one of the more cryptic lines

Long story very short. I've lost all of my I,mediate family in 3.5 years. Two elder brother to prolonged heroin and crack addiction, mum from dementia then a massive stroke then dad from heart failure but at least in his peaceful sleep and now some time has gone by, I can appreciate the blessing of an end such as his and at 89.9 years old.
I needed this song today, it has very literally saved me from an overdose of morphine and diazepam.
God bless you for posting this and it was by accident I found it as I was looking for fight songs, to ring walk to.
You don't know how much impact you have made to one Bristolian 53 yr old guy who also has a life limiting disease. My name is Julian Pirog. Look it up.

There is no light without shadow, no shadow without light. Humans cant interpretate if something is "good" or "bad", without "bad" things we wouldnt value the "good" things, its like saying death is evil, death is bad, death is a part of life and also peace. A true master has failed more times than the beginner has ever tried. Thats what i take from this song.

@@wolfura There are some parts which link to it quite nicely. For example: "received the match of life, but then decline to ignite. That's what the Sage calls the wrong of two rights" refers to when you meet a greater opponent but instead of rising to the challenge you pull back out of fear. You're throwing away the opportunity to honourably face someone greater and to rise from it as well

Also, I see a few different ways to break down the lyrics.
      1) how all of them relate to each other, as though it were a story.
      2) each line of lyrics on an individual level
Now, some of the lines can be paired together, and probably should be.
For example, he refers to dogma, then much later mentions removing the leash.
Perhaps I'm being too literal, but I find it a clever play on words.
He's telling a story, but also imparting words of wisdom.
There's a lot he's trying to say. It will be interesting, trying to break it down.
      Once again, best of luck.

I love his lyrics music more then his instrumental ones. Just because you can hear the things he say. They're like messages. Anyway I like how he started going in near the middle. But the only thing I didn't like was the ending. I didn't like how it just end like that. But his music are still good. I never really hear music like this.

+CegeRoles If they ever made another AC game it would be even further milking of a long dead franchise that once, long time ago, had some potential

    • @CegeRoles
      @CegeRoles 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Ge0s7igm4 Well I'm sorry you feel that way; I still think AC has a lot of potential.

    • @thegeostigma
      @thegeostigma 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Opinions vary, that's true and tastes should not be debated ;)
I just can't help but feel that after AC2, every game was a 40-50€ copy paste of it with +1 useless gadget per game and story that was there simply because it had to have some kind of story(and it started as an amazing one) :/
Truth is, I'm hateful towards the franchise only because I once liked it very much and hoped that the devs cared for it as much as I did and and the idea of what they are doing and it turned out that money was the first(completely normal) and the only thing that mattered to them(completely asshole-ish). Feel free to enjoy it, I'm happy for you, even if I do think that AC franchise past AC2 is a copy-paste pile of expensive and branded garbage.

    • @CegeRoles
      @CegeRoles 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

+Ge0s7igm4 I can definitely see where you're coming from; ever since AC2 when Ubisoft turned Assassin's Creed into an annual franchise, the series has steadily degraded in overall quality. In terms of story, nothing has really been able to match the Ezio trilogy (AC2,ACB and ACR) or Black Flag. The only attempt at introducing a new major gameplay innovation since AC2 was in Black Flag; it managed to take the sailing introduced in AC3 and expand it into a core gameplay mechanic rather than just a feature to be tacked on. Unity and Syndicate just felt too by the numbers, and only call attention to how dated the overall gameplay is. Now here's why I think the franchise still has potential; I'm usually the person who disparages unnecessary sequels and franchise milking. But I think Assassin's Creed is one of the few series that _could_ theoretically go on forever if handled properly, and that's largely because of the storytelling possibilities that are made possible by the Animus. In the same vein as say, Final Fantasy, every Assassin's Creed game has the potential to be its own self-contained story, and because they can take place across wildly different settings and time periods, the gameplay possibilities are limitless. I've recently heard that Ubisoft has finally listened to the fans and is taking an extra year to develop the next Assassin's Creed, which is apparently supposed to be set in Ancient Egypt, and they've said that they're planning to go back to the drawing board in terms of design and gameplay. Hopefully this will be the big break the series has been waiting for.
