I think it’s easier just to remove j’s vocal than re-record sunny’s only to replace ‘unimportant’ parts. They dont sing that live anyway. I mean it’s not a real line that they sing live. More like adlibs or whatever im not expert
Whether she fits them is subjective, that specific part isn't vocally challenging so I think fit-wise it's ok. Now even as a Sooyoung bias, I definitely agree that Sunny should have gotten that part because she sings better, and mostly because she lacks lines in this song

@@blue.Nina426 I don't agree, not everything is black or white. In my opinion, there are 2 factors that should determine who gets Jessica's parts. First one is the vocal difficulty of the part. Is the part a high note? Then yes, only vocalists should cover it. But if it's not a high note? Then every member should get a chance. In both cases, this second factor should be considered as well: Who is more in need of lines? Sometimes they did an awesome job at deciding who gets the part. Like everyone getting a line in PAPARAZZI, Yoona and Hyoyeon getting a solo verse instead of sharing one in BACK HUG, Seohyun and Sunny sharing the chorus in GOODBYE, etc. But other times their decisions were poor, like Taeyeon getting almost every line in MR. TAXI, RUN DEVIL RUN and TGE, Sooyoung getting this part in GENIE when Sunny needs it, Yoona getting the big verse in AMLIFY when Sooyoung literally shares all her lines with Yoona and Yoona already had a solo part in the bridge, etc. So yeah your statement of "giving all of Jessica's part to vocalists only" is not always the right thing to do. Also since you're a Yuri bias, do you still agree with your own point if we talk about ITNW? Yuri got Jessica's bridge which ends in a high note. And no offense, but Yuri fits that line even less than Sooyoung fits this part in Genie. Jessica and Yuri's voices are almost extreme opposites, high/nasal/strong VS creamy/blurry/soft/airy
