I was 7 yrs old old when I first saw Ric Flair as NWA World Heavyweight Champion in Charlotte NC at a NWA event I remember vividly that Ric came right over to me and WOOOOED right in my face 43 yrs later I get to witness his final match but sadly I won't get to see it live as I am wheel chair bound now and couldn't get there no matter much I want too If I had the opportunity to see his last match I would call my life complete

And wearing a black and silver spiked robe all of a sudden the pyro hit and as that shine reflected of the screen blindingly my jaw dropped to the floor and you know what you are still the fucking man Ric flair!!!! As a 6-year-old kid I picked up a VHS of Starrcade future shock, and I rewatched that same VHS week in and week out until I could eventually get another one. That PPV featured Flair, Sting, Muta, Steiners, and legion of doom in tournament-style matches. I was hooked from that moment on. Over the years I found myself more latched onto sting than I did flair, but my god to think what both of those guys have done and how they've stood the test of time. People want to talk about the roster during the attitude era, and as great as it was, this collection of guys came along in the 70s and 80s, hung with the best of the attitude era, and are still relevant and doing their thing today - when a lot of the attitude era has been and gone. Can't say I'm a big fan of the direction wrestling has taken in the past 10-15 years, but god dammit I will watch a Flair one last match. I wouldn't miss it for the world. Go get em naitch, I hope the experience means as much to you as it will all of us fans.

I always rooted for the Heels anyway - so I hated David Crockett even more - JCP had the Best Heels
By that time, Crockett baby faces were for the kids by my estimation. But yes I agree. Crockett had the best everything except pyrotechnics and lunch boxes.

They had the Rock n Roll for sure, but too many 'tweeners like Ronnie Garvin. Dusty just didn't give a good push to Brad Armstrong, Tim Horner, Terry Taylor or Billie Jack Haynes but instead had Ricky Morton in singles matches. You're right about the lunch boxes - passive income from action figures was a big reason for talent jumping to WWF
