You are a great and caring mother. I breastfed all 5 of my kids. The best thing you can do for your kids is not to parent out of guilt. Kids need set boundaries at every age. With my clingy kid I finally realized that I cannot constantly give in every time she would cry. All I was doing was confusing her, which made her cry even longer when I put her down or why would she drink anything out of a sippy cup when she knew she was going to get the boob. Its going to get a lot worse if you don't start setting boundaries with her now. Your not being a terrible mom when you do this. I'm 49 now my oldest is 29 & youngest is 22. I have a great relationship with all 5 of them.
Kaylee you are an amazing mum, the girls all know that. Its okay to feel overwhelmed. You are doing an amazing job, just so you know❤❤❤ more kids need a mum like you

Just remember Kaylie that it’s OKAY to have a crying episode. Even if it’s every day/night. And it’s healthier to cry it out than keep it in. Not to get into too much detail, but these past few months have been so hard for me. And I’m the kind of person who comforts people who are crying first, then cry myself. But I’ve learned that having a good cry episode to let everything out is so much better. Even if it’s at the end of the day, or in the middle of the night. (insomniac here). Just remember there’s always the light at the end of the tunnel that keeps getting bigger and brighter until you’re through it. Stay awesome. ❤

@@VarneyFamily you can still breast feed Isla until 2 years but I don't know if you would do it
I breastfed my youngest until almost 3. At 3 months old she refused any bottle of any kind. She wasn't clingy at all. I had work that had to be done being a mom of 3 daughters with a husband that was either at work or sleeping most of the time. When it wasn't nursing time she would be down playing, in a high chair, or playpen. You just can't give in all the time to Isla. Start letting her cry a few mins at a time. Increase time by a couple of mins every few days. It won't hurt her to try that.
I have 3 kids a 4,3 and my youngest will be 14 months tomorrow and he is my clingiest baby by far. I can never out him down and just feel you so much with this. I feel like I'm not giving my other 2 as much attention and I can see the way they react sometimes but it is SO hard. She won't be clingy forever and remember this is a phase as hard as that is it will pass and I hope she will take a bottle. My son we forced it and it took him about 3 days to get off breastfeeding and take a bottle and those days were hard but maybe you need to just have those few hard days for her to get over it. Even if you make mason take her out for 1 on 1 time and she can learn to be away from you ❤ wishing you the best. We're moving to tampa next month. Seems like y'all love it down there!

Bless your sweet heart! I only had one child & was so lucky he was so good most of the time. However, I do remember times going into my bedroom, locking the door & taking a moment. Kids can be very demanding...which can also be very stressful. I have Isla & you on my prayer list. I will continue to pray it gets better soon. Love you Kaylie! PS You are an amazing mom!

I know it’s hard to see your baby cry, but sometimes you just have to let it happen. Just for short periods of time. I so remember being touched out when my kids were little. You need to have a little time to yourself everyday for your mental health. Wishing you all the best. You are a wonderful family. Thanks for sharing your family with us

No, Isla's not clingy. She's not well coz of beach trip. Must be hat on for her. She's just more than 1 year old....❤❤❤❤
Isla's attachment is natural because of her eczema. I know this now. My son was very clingy too and 38 years later I feel so guilty that I did not understand then that it was because he had eczema and serious food allergies that made him sick for many years of his life. We did not have the kind of information available today and therefore I pushed him away most of the time. I really regret that. Just understand that the clinginess is nature's way of protecting a 'sick' child and it would be so much worse if you did not pay her the close attention that you do. This too, shall soon pass.
