Technically adding salt to water would make it boil slower, since it would raise the boiling temp. Although it depends on the concentration of salt in the water, adding a bit to a pot for cooking would be negligible.
Loved the Narumi tease this episode. He's gotta be my favorite character from the manga. As a manga reader, this first season was everything I could have ever hoped for, and I look forward to more seasons.

Salt literally makes water boil faster. It's a scientific fact that salt lowers the boiling point of water so it will start to boil quicker. You may need a lot of salt, or it may not make a significant time difference, but Chris, Marketa, and their grandma are correct lol

An issue with keeping the fact that they have a kaiju working for them a secret isn't just the more know a secret the more likely it will get out but fighting kaiju is sometimes a public special, such as when Ashiro killed that big one at the start of the first episode, camera crews were broadcasting it live. Sooner or later they will see some kaiju on kaiju action.
Seeing kaiju fighting each other doesn’t mean the Defense Force secretly has one on their payroll (even though they totally do via this). It’s more a matter of presentation, in him not getting caught with his pants down (changing forms or interacting with the Defense Force in an obvious capacity). Besides which, an important part in any claim is having the time and resources to get it the appropriate spin. Doxxing Kafka will make him a spectacle and a target for _humans_ , especially when what they intend to ‘do’ with him is still up in the air. Details would have to be hidden no matter what, whether or not he was kept alive.
I’m glad this show was made though I haven’t read the manga I will soon to catch up on next season. Also this series is reminding why I love monster based characters. Seeing Kafka go full Kaiju mode and not in control is crazy just no humanity just the monster that’s inside that he only uses for the sake of others.

2:00 YES! Thank you. Just because a character maybe changes later can’t affect what you’ll feel about them the first time you see them. Because the change literally hasn’t happened yet. If they do change maybe your opinion will change. Later. But it’s not m guaranteed. I do feel it’s become kind of a trope for character introductions in anime though. It’s very common for a character to be introduced as being a terrible person in some way in their first appearance, only to very quickly change and “not be so bad after all”. It does often work. The contrast between their first and subsequent scenes makes them more memorable in a way. Shinomiya is a good example. BOTH of the Shinomiyas really.
Kajiu is considered small??? It’s a huge seller and shown on Twitter lol how good do you need to be dang. lol expectations are it needs to be the best or it’s not liked lol. This is why so many dislike it every shonen is expected to redefine storytelling when they’re all just mostly for fun.
Yeah they misunderstood what the poster meant. Writers make it pretty clear in the cases when you’re supposed to hate a character or understand there’s more to them. Itachi literally had someone harm themselves sadly over his loss. People really liked him. He’s drawn cool and mysterious and only threw hands cause people got in his way. He was willing to bounce. Also hints like him entering the villiage without triggering sensors. He was obviously doing something. Like hisoka from hxh you know right away he’s doing dirt but you’re supposed to be charmed by him. They shouldn’t hate say griffin right away in berserk etc. later yes.

Motivations aside obviously I knew the Akatsuki were the "bad guys" but the writing and the allure of these characters are why many view them as great characters. Even some of the top villain groups in anime.

This is the first time I saw your reaction to this show & also the first time I watched (parts of) the episode in English. That said, what did they do with Kikoru's voice? She sounds older than she should. She should be 16 but her voice sounds like 25-37 old woman 🤨 (from the clips in this video at least).

Surj seems to be in boss mode and really looks up what's "Hot" and has developed a personality where he's fighting back on aka, if it aint peak it's mid takes. Where the internet research, as a boss for a channel, tells you most things suck when they really dont. I'm happy he's become more positive and stopped looking for issues in reactions. Chris used to be way more judgy and sigh after a show and as someone who has friends like that...its usually stems from them not loving the episode but also not digesting it. They later like it. Having to put your opinion out right away does that. I do feel it’s become kind of a trope for character introductions in anime though.
