I felt since I could not be their in D.C. or in Plains, glad I was able watch all of the coverage and to leave my heart felt small message at the 39 mins in to share about my hero's, both giants to my heart . My dad born Oct 23rd 1924 to Bobby Jo Carter miles down the road from cousin Jimmy , born Oct 1st 1924 in Plains . Thanks for all of the Carter side of the family for being the strength . My dad was proud of his Carter roots .

@braddavid9173 what do you think about people who attack others when their family is grieving a loss? My thought is they are the lowest of the low. Their is no human compassion or Christian values in your response to a families loss. May others treat you and your family with more empathy, grace and compassion when you experience a similar loss. Take a hard look in the mirror as you don't look good. You come across as hate-filled and evil. A family is grieving for goodness sake. Try for love and compassion instead of hate and anger. This brings to mind what I was taught as a child if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all.

How come the Harrises and Bidens didn't shake the hands of the former presidents? Anybody know if it's because of personal beef or just protocol?

Use this time for study and prayer of his life, the greatest history lesson. Read his books in order, make sure your library has copies. And leave the GAZA OUT OF IT.

Not really. He couldn’t stand that Carter was the center of attention. He was going through withdrawal and trying to get his fix through Obama.

VP Mondale’s eulogy is also wonderful/ energy conservation, climate change, saving the boat people of Vietnam, recognizing discrimination against women and girls how it relates to poverty/ “we told the truth, the law, and we kept the peace.” Pres. Carter’s influence is wide and expanding into the future.
