Very clear instructions! I was searching like crazy to find the wiper/ wash relay. I've got an issue where it wipes/ washes the rear window (Corolla E12 hatch), but not the front. So the fuse(s) should be okay, it left me with either a bad relay or a defective switch. I guess that's two for one 🙂. Thank you, saved me a lot of time in unnecessary diagnosis 🙏🏻
Hi, I have exactly this issue now on a 2002 e12 corolla, rear works front does not activate pump or spray but wipers work, what was your issue?
@@iLouieTubehey brother! sorry for the late reply, I never got a notification that someone replied to my comment. Just now i came back to your video to see how to take it all apart when I saw your comment. So here's the deal, I just took everything apart to find a part number. I'm going to order the part and replace it asap as my wife plans to use her car again for work. As soon as I do, I'll get back to you. I'm really hoping a new switch is going to resolve this issue. A bad connection/ broken wire is going to be a pain in the ass to find. Please let me know too if you already fixed it, since it's been 7 months since your reply.
@@iLouieTubeUpdate* replaced the switch but unfortunately it did not fix the issue. Now I'm thinking it's either a broken wire or a bad module. I really hope to hear from you whether you fixed the issue or not.
For anybody reading this: It was the washer pump.
Unlike most cars, the corolla e12 has 2 washer pumps. One operates the windshield and the other one is for the back window. First I thought it was a bad relay or switch, after that I thought maybe a broken wire or a bad module. The reason I never suspected the pump is because it did wash the rear window, and I automatically assumed it had only one pump. Good lesson to be learned here: always check schematics.
I hope this helps someone in the future.
Why does some switches say wiper washer turn signal
I replaced the switch but the wipers are still stuck on

How much is the part?
I paid about $30 at the junkyard here in Quebec City Canada.
Greetings!
