Frau Holle & The Winter Goddess

In a follow up to my video on the Wild Hunt, I wanted to explore more in-depth the feminine entities associated with the dark aspects of Winter: namely, Frau Holle, Perchta or Berchta, and the Hulda or Huldra as they are known throughout the north. Who is Frau Holle, and what can we learn about how the dark goddess was venerated in the winter months from her?

I came to this video because I was burning things yesterday and ended up unintentionally doing some pyromancy. From doing research of what I saw, I came to the conclusion of Frau Holle. Thanks for speaking on her.

Very interesting the birch aspect--in the celtic tree calendar the winter solstice is in the time of birch

Not his wife because he learned these traditions from the earlier Winter goddess. She is with him because she taught him.
