This is surreal. I'm watching this video on my first trip to Bangkok, Thailand, at the Ashton Asoke. I live in Round Rock, TX about 2 miles away from that Smokey Mo's BBQ you stopped to eat at. Unless all the Smokey Mo's look exactly the same. Pretty wild. Small world. Have fun! I know I am in Bangkok.
I'm right "next door" to you again Serg as I left Pattaya after 2 years to return to Houston for medical stuff. That business class flight is on my bucket list !! lol Yeah I should go to Austin to check out the Riverwalk and the Capitol. Hope you and hou entire family have a wonderful holiday season !! Cheers -
Love the way your mom set the table, reminds me of how my grandmother did it. My grandmother also made hamburgers a bit different and unfortunately as a kid I didn't pay close enough attention. They were fried with potato and onion mixed in......Russian recipe. I know you love to eat, If you get back to San Francisco to spend some time, try Yet Lee @ 1300 Stockton St & Broadway near the tunnel. The best in The City. Always locals eating there (closed on Tuesday)
@ thank you Serg Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year 🥳.To you and your family. It would be soooo good to have something like that in BKK !!!!! If you want we go to Fortune Tower and get emulators to recreate those games from the 70s & 80s !!!😂😂😂
Those grill house meals are huge, each would be too much for 2 dinners! For me lunch is a Cornish pastry and coffee. Business class looked excellent and worth it for long hauls, but the prices these days😢. Used to be business class was 2.5X economy now it's about 4x.
Those portions were either smaller than they looked, or larger than they looked. Ha ha. But it’s hard to beat that kind of barbecue. Economy on this particular route would’ve been about $1200. I paid $3700 for business class. so it’s about 3X. Me, it’s worth it. I’m pretty frugal in several other areas, so I don’t mind spending money on business class tickets for the long trips. Thank you so much for your support.
When I moved to Thailand, three years ago, it was for a change of pace. I think there’s a high likelihood that I will eventually move back to the US. I’m definitely not moving back to California, I think somewhere around Austin will do it for me.
Ate so much barbecue that week. I wasn’t the US for one month and I managed to go to the gym 13 times. If I hadn’t, I definitely would’ve gained weight. I would love to bring Rex with me, but I think my parents would be a little upset. 😂
Nice video, it seems you had a great time. Lol 200 years old buildings, those are rookie numbers for a European as myself. Regardless, those places you showed did look nice and interesting. Take care.
This is one of the reasons I love traveling through Europe. You have such amazing old buildings castles. I realize that the American ones are very young, but it’s still fun.

It is a small world! That is exactly the same Smoky Mo that I stopped in. I know exactly where the Ashton Asoke is. Small world indeed!

Hi Serg what a great holiday you had . Everywhere you went looked stunning and the arcade 🥰🥰🥰 . Amazing . Nice one Serg
Yeah, I would love to open an arcade like that here in Bangkok. But I did the math and it would require way too much capital. Meet Christmas Jimmy!
